Hradec Kralove University was founded in 1959, and got its modern name in 2000. The main goal of the educational institution is to provide the educational process in the humanities, economics, social, pedagogical and natural sciences. In 2010, the university received the right to apply to the diploma a special certificate issued by the European Commission, which confirms compliance with all standards of European higher education institutions.
