University of Pardubice (abbreviated as UPA) is an educational institution of a state type in the Czech Republic, which has been actively engaged in academic and educational activities since the 1950s. Currently, the main building of the university is located on the territory of a small campus in Pardubice.
It is a medium-sized university where up to 10,000 people can take a course every year. The teaching staff of the university is more than 1500 teachers of the highest category.

The commission makes a decision after examining past performance data, evaluating the exams that all applicants take. According to statistics, about 60 percent of applications are approved by the commission.

Traditionally for the Czech Republic, education at this higher educational institution is divided into two semesters. The price of tution is not that high, but students can recover some of the cost by receiving a scholarship for good performance. UPA conducts studying in two systems - full-time and part-time.
