The University English (ESL) program is designed to help you improve your language proficiency before you start studying at the UMass Boston Navitas GSSP. This full-time job is provided by UMass Boston for students who do not have the required English tests to directly participate in the undergraduate or graduate success program. This integrated program focuses on teaching university teaching skills, academic writing, and coursework based on content typical of a US university audience.

Housing associations offer a range of special housing conditions: reduced rates, conditions for deposits, furnished apartments. The closest residential complexes are the Harbor Point and Peninsula apartments. Harbor Point offers 1 or 2 bedroom apartments, 3 bedroom townhouses. The peninsula offers studios, 1-3 room apartments. Both complexes are within a 5-10 minute walk from the campus.
