Saint Lawrence University (SLU) was founded in 19856 and is a private non-profit higher education institution in the United States. The leading areas of the university are economics, business, biology and psychology. SLU is a dynamic, collaborative community of students who value thought and action. Students take full advantage of their potential by exploring the natural environment, facing global challenges and experiencing the relevance and adventures of humanitarian education in a complex and changing world.
The university is a part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC).
The First-Year Program SLU is one of the oldest curricula and helps students successfully transition from high school to college intellectually and socially.

SLU offers an MBA in a special program combining four years of study at St. Lawrence University, during which students complete the prescribed protocol of courses, including at nearby Clarkson University, where students can apply for one year at the Clarkson MBA, with the result that the graduate receives a bachelor's degree in SLU and a master's degree in business administration from Clarkson for five years, not the usual six.
These programs prepare students for leadership positions in a global and technologically advanced work environment.
SLU provides a hostel for its students: 98% of students live in residences on campus.
The university is located in the city of Ohio (USA) - Canton. The material and technical base of SLU includes its own library.
The university has a two-semester academic year. Autumn semester begins in August, and spring - in January.
