The University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE) is a private university specializing in applied sciences: information technology, business, art and design, health and psychology. UE teaches bachelor's, master's, MBA and doctoral programs, offers preparatory year courses in Studienkolleg and German, and diplomas in basic vocational education.

UE, founded in 2017 through the merger of the School of Business and Information Technology and the Berlin Technical Graduate School of the Arts, conducts active educational and research activities in four German cities and in Dubai (UAE). The number of students on German campuses reaches 4,600 students representing more than 50 nationalities.: They come from dozens of countries to obtain competitive professional preparation, applied skills and experience valued by major international companies.

The university has the necessary academic accreditations, is highly rated by national and international agencies, and is a member of Global University Systems (GUS), a Dutch strategic alliance that opens up the widest career opportunities for its students. What additional activities and clubs are there for students?

Almost anything! Social, sports clubs and events, excellent studying conditions, hundreds of equally passionate peers who are ready to share your interests and hobbies. Universities on their online portals always post comprehensive information about such communities, at the beginning of the academic year they organize introductory events: come and get to know each group and club personally!

Teaching is distributed across four academic areas:

Applied research at UE scientific centers is focused on improving the quality of life of local and international communities — through the introduction of modern technologies into various activities. The main attention of professors and researchers is concentrated on three areas:

Hundreds of students from various programs and faculties participate in the research: this way they gain valuable skills and experience that broaden their career prospects. Current and completed research topics are published in the open digital journal UE Publishing Practices.

UE does not have its own living quarters, but thanks to the collaboration with the Edge Student Hub, it offers dozens of options in Berlin and Iserlohn. Students studying in Berlin are accommodated in traditional multi—bed rooms, single studios, apartments - the type of housing is selected according to the student's level of funding and requirements. All rooms are well furnished, connected to high-speed Wi-Fi, provide access to common areas of the complex: kitchens, living rooms, laundry rooms, quiet classrooms for study.

The Edge Student Hub residences located in Iserlohn provide students with double and triple rooms equipped with furniture for each tenant, bathroom, and kitchenette. Common areas include laundry rooms, large kitchen areas, lounge areas for relaxation, and study areas.

Students from campuses in Hamburg and Potsdam usually turn to a specialized department for help in finding suitable housing for them near educational areas.

Students devote their free time to developing creative talents and implementing ideas in thematic communities. There are clubs on campuses in the following directions::

The offered communities also include sports sections: football, basketball, and volleyball. Training sessions and amateur competitions take place on and off campus sports facilities.

Throughout the year, UE organizes many entertainment, scientific, and cultural events. The first event of each academic year is Freshman Day, where new students get acquainted with teachers and infrastructure, join thematic communities, and receive the necessary equipment. UE has four studying areas in Germany, the largest of which is located in Iserlohn. The natural environment, proximity to transport interchanges, and modern facilities encourage effective learning and recreation. In addition to opportunities for walking and jogging, a stable, an ice rink and a fitness studio are located in the immediate vicinity of the campus.

The infrastructure of the studying area includes:

The UE Innovation Center, located in Potsdam, is adjacent to the international business incubators SAP Innovation Center and Volkswagen Group Future Center. The building is aimed at students enrolled in modern technology programs — their school days are held in open spaces, coworking spaces, quiet areas and cozy places for communication.

The historic Hamburg campus building is located just a few minutes from the train station and features impressive cross vaults, a bright courtyard and modern amenities. The infrastructure of the academic site is almost identical to the main UE campuses, including animation and photography studios, various workshops and laboratories, classrooms, recreation areas and self-study.

The academic year at UE follows the standard German system and includes two main semesters.:

• Winter: September-February,
• Summer: March-August.

Classes in full—time education programs are organized on weekdays, rest - on weekends, days of national and international holidays. The tuition fee already covers the costs of specialized student support, the use of university technologies, access to online resources, basic academic fees, including fees for exams and dissertation.

Additional expenses include:

• Language courses (if necessary),

Foreign applicants will need to go through several admission stages:

• Submission of the online form, required documents, and payment of admission fees,
• Interview, testing (if required),
• Receiving the results of the previous stage and a letter of invitation to study.

Staff accompany candidates at every stage, assisting with visa matters and providing all necessary information about relocating to Germany and enrolling at UE.

According to statistics from recent years, at least 90% of graduates find employment in their field within 12 months of completing their studies, with 33% of them earning more than 70,000€ per year.

Foreign applicants wishing to study in Germany must have a passport, visa or residence permit, and medical insurance. To enroll in higher education programs at UE, you must provide:

• Academic certificates, assessment tables from previous places of study: certificate of full secondary education, certificates of preparatory courses, bachelor's or master's degree, depending on the chosen level of education,
• The results of the language test confirming the level of proficiency in English or German at least B2 (the choice of language depends on the chosen program and specialization),
• Motivation letter,
• Resume,
• Certificate of work experience, if the applicant is enrolled in Master's degree programs (at least one year),
• Portfolio (for enrollment in creative professions).
