  • Summer English Courses

The course is available for booking to individual students and groups. The whole program is designed for 1-4 weeks - the duration of the student can choose independently, based on their own preferences, opportunities, interests. The intensity of classes for camp students is average - 15 hours per week, with classes small enough, up to 15 people in each. Classes are formed in such a way that within each one there is as much as possible an international environment of students, there was no temptation to switch to one's native language and talk with a colleague. Such a complete immersion in the language greatly increases the intensity of instruction, leads to a rapid overcoming of the language barrier. In each class there is a highly qualified and experienced teacher with EFL accreditation. Lessons are held in a live, interactive format, special attention is paid to the development of communication skills, fluent and competent oral speech.

  • Trinity Examinations

We offer students the opportunity to pass the Trinity College Oral Examinations (GESE) to get a qualification in spoken English. These exams are authoritative among educational institutions in many European countries. Our experienced EFL teachers test students, distribute them to appropriate levels and provide an additional five hours of intensive spoken English each week. Students are fully prepared for oral tests, which are conducted by an external examiner Trinity.

This course is designed for a group of 15 students. The additional cost per student = 65 pounds. Dates: June 19 - August 28.

Description of Leith Academy Summer Camp

The Leith Academy, as one of the oldest schools in Scotland, was founded in 1560, but already in 1521 there are references to some "Leith Grammar", so the exact date of the establishment of the institution is unclear. The school is located in the center of ancient Edinburgh, just a short walk from Edinburgh Castle, the real home of the royal family of Scotland. The Scottish capital is divided into two parts:

  • historical regions that preserve the spirit of the Middle Ages;
  • elegant and modern areas with a huge number of parks, gardens, architectural monuments in a non-standard neoclassical style.

In Edinburgh, you can find many places from where you can see an impressive view of the sea - for example, Holyrood Park or "Arthurs Seat".

Currently Leith Academy is a modern and functional building, not one modernization was carried out, so that the process of teaching students was in step with the times, convenient and effective. The new building was built in 1991.

Accommodation, meals, prices

Accommodation and meals are on a full board basis. For the students of the camp, cozy apartments are prepared: each includes 4-6 comfortable bedrooms and a bathroom, a small functional kitchen. Before the educational building, the road will be only 10 minutes at a calm pace.
