The Stamford Endowed Schools Association offers an interesting, slightly non-standard type of education - diamond-shaped (or Diamond). In 2 school buildings boys and girls from 2 to 18 years old study: primary (8-11 years) and senior classes (Sixth Form, 16-18 years) are organized according to a joint visiting system, but middle classes (11-16 years) are divided for men and women. It is offered as a boarding accommodation option (it is chosen by 15% of students), and stay on a daily form. The total number of children is 1,700 people: both British nationals and foreign students (about 20%).
The first school of this association - the men's Stamford School - was opened in 1532. In 1887, a women's department of the Stamford High School appeared, and in 2002 they were supplemented by a preparatory school for boys and girls aged 2-11, Stamford Junior School. School campuses still stand very close to each other, often use common infrastructure, hold joint events, holidays, seminars and lectures of invited specialists.
All three schools strive to bring up healthy, active and happy students: the students are brought up with a desire for study and self-development, new knowledge, discipline and self-confidence. Experienced, qualified teachers, educators, instructors help students constantly strive for more, achieve their goals and invent new ones. In schools there is a huge number of circles, sections and elective classes: almost every student plays at least 1 musical instrument, sports traditions are also strong (especially in rugby - the team regularly wins national and regional competitions).
All 3 school units regularly undergo strict scrutiny by the British Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) Commission:
