Pre-Sessional English Course

  • Age – from 17 years old,
  • Duration of study – 7 or 12 weeks,
  • Dates – June-August.

The Pre-Sessional English Course program is designed to help students from all over the world improve their academic, language skills in preparation for bachelor's and master's degrees. An intensive course, during which students will attend face-to-face classes in addition to seminars in small groups, individual lessons with teachers, will help to effectively prepare for admission to higher education programs.

The curriculum has three main goals:

  1. Develop academic English language skills so that students can confidently use English at university level,
  2. To develop academic study skills so that students can successfully study in doctoral studies,
  3. To help each student develop as an independent student so that he can engage in independent learning, research during the academic program.

Depending on the initial level of English and the language requirements for admission to the chosen course of study, the duration of the Pre-Sessional English Course will be 7 or 12 weeks.

Solent Food Garden is part of the Students' Union's campus greening initiative, implemented in partnership with management. The garden with a variety of plants, vegetables and fruits aims to create a safe space for people who would like to spend time in tranquility, gardening. The green space is available to all students, however, only applicants can make changes and grow fruits, vegetables and herbs in the beds. The garden has 10 high beds, extensive places for growing plants in the ground. Everything that grows in the garden is used in the preparation of dishes in the restaurants and cafeterias of the university.

Southampton is a historic city in the UK, located an hour's drive from London.
