Intensive Courses

Schiller Language School offers intensive German courses with a focus on effective language improvement. The programs are available to students with any level of  knowledge, taught at five stages: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1. The courses of the first three stages are available online, and the process of obtaining levels B2 and C1 is only face-to-face.

The curriculum  is diverse: studying at A1 will take six weeks, at A2 - eight, and at B1-C1 - ten. Each week of studying includes 20 lessons of 45 minutes in small groups organized by language skill level. During the entire period of the studies, students will focus on the basics of the German language: reading, writing, speaking and listening, vocabulary.

Upon achieving the B2 and C1 levels, students will then undergo telc testing, which is conducted on campus.

Medical German for Medical Specialisation

  • Duration of studying – 12 weeks,
  • Levels are from B2.

German language courses for graduates of medical universities will help you adapt your knowledge to work in Germany, improve your language skills and obtain a work permit in Germany. The program is available for levels B2 and C1, so students may need to attend intensive courses at Schiller Language School before enrolling in a medical course.

The curriculum includes 12 weeks of specialized preparation under the guidance of qualified teachers + 12 weeks of access to an online platform for self-study, revision of topics covered. The course focuses on conversational skills, technical terminology, writing medical letters, and properly building a dialogue with colleagues and patients.

The program is available not only in full-time, but also in an online format - by choosing distance learning, the student receives:

  • 25 lectures on the topics of communication with colleagues, patients and their relatives,
  • An extensive set of exercises for the development of reading skills, knowledge of grammar and vocabulary, practicing listening,
  • Graduation certificate.

Studienkolleg, Preparation for admission 

  • The duration of studying is 10 months,
  • Levels are from B2.

The full-time preparation course for admission to bachelor's/master's programs at German universities is a 10-month study at one of the school's campuses: in Berlin or Bonn. Students are offered a balanced academic load of 28-32 lessons per week, depending on the level of knowledge, the chosen intensity of learning. Classes are conducted as follows:

  • 12 German lessons focused on improving reading and writing, speaking and listening skills, vocabulary,
  • Classes in mathematics, chemistry, physics, or other subjects, depending on which bachelor's specialization the student wants to enroll in.

Upon successful completion of all academic subjects, students will take the Feststellungsprüfung exam, after which they are awarded a graduation certificate. Also students can apply for support services for admission to the chosen higher institution.

Schiller Language School is a language school, offering German courses that will allow students to enter a college or university. The institution has two campuses: the main one is in Berlin, the subsidiary is in Bonn.

Every year, the school accepts many foreign students - Schiller Language School is in demand due to a wide range of educational programs, modern academic approaches, the ability to study face-to-face and online, and qualified teachers. The teaching staff is represented by specialists with higher education who have many years of experience in teaching German to foreign students.

The language school's courses offer students effective preparation for the telc, TestDaF, DSH exams as well as the process of obtaining a long-term visa/residence permit in Germany. The curricula are adapted to the initial level of language proficiency of individual small groups, thereby allowing students with any knowledge to learn: from A1 to C1.

The staff provides comprehensive support to pupils: from entering school, finding accommodation to choosing a suitable university and passing visa tests.

Accommodation, meals, prices

School staff help students in finding and renting housing. Schiller Language School already has partnership agreements with several accommodation providers: university residence, private landlords of apartments and houses, host families.

  • The University Residence offers students single rooms located in shared apartments. Residents use common areas: living room, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom. The price includes all utilities, high-speed Wi-Fi. The road from the residence to the academic campus will take about half an hour.
  • Students can rent a one-room apartment with a fully furnished bedroom, kitchen, bathroom. The monthly fee covers all utilities, however, a separate contract may be required to use the Wi-Fi. Depending on the location of the residential building, the road to the school will take from 25 to 50 minutes.
  • Host families, living 25-50 minutes from campus, provide students with comfortable, truly cozy accommodation for the duration of their studies: single rooms, access to all common areas, including the kitchen and bathroom. Utilities are already included in the price, Wi-Fi connection is made under a separate contract.

Upon enrollment in the course, the school staff asks you to fill out a questionnaire about the preferred accommodation option, and then proceed to search for and draw up the necessary documents. It is possible to rent a room, apartment or place in a foster family house for three months, after which the contract is either extended or the student is looking for a more suitable accommodation if he wants to try another option.

Activities Schiller Language School

In their free time, students can immerse themselves in the study of the German language, culture and history of Germany - a variety of excursions, outdoor recreation events, visits to museums and theaters, night bars and restaurants will allow students to diversify their leisure time. Thanks to the excellent transport infrastructure, students have access not only to large cities such as Berlin and Bonn, but also to the rest of the country, as well as abroad - Italy, France, Great Britain, where they can spend weekends.
