HND Programs
- Age – from 18 years old,
- The duration of education is one to two years.
Raindance offers three pathways to professional higher diplomas at the undergraduate level:
- Filmmaking,
- Acting and filmmaking,
- Cinematography, performing arts.
The educational program will take one to two years and will focus on gaining practical skills in the chosen field. The educational staff will provide the best learning atmosphere by conducting classes in small groups. Professional studios with state-of-the-art equipment will give students the opportunity not only to practice, but also to make a full-fledged short film that can be presented at the annual Raindance Film Festival.
Graduate Programs
- Age – from 21 years old,
- The term of study is two years.
The Raindance Film School teaches two higher education programs leading to a master's degree:
- Filmmaking,
- Screenwriting.
Both programs will teach international students how to navigate the film and television industry as a director, independently promote themselves and their ideas, and establish connections in the industry.
The courses are designed for two years, are distance learning, which will allow you not only to combine your studies with the fulfillment of current obligations, but will also give you time for creative growth, taking advantage of all the creative and professional opportunities that will open up at the Raindance Film School.
The weekly schedule includes 20 hours of classes, including hours in the classroom, in seminars, open classes, individual mentoring time. Both programs consist of six modules, culminating in a major project designed to present all the knowledge gained during the educational process, to become a visual demonstration of professional activities that students can use as a business card.
Short Educational Courses

Short courses taught at the Raindance Film School throughout the year are thematic workshops lasting several hours. They are conducted by qualified teachers and invited specialists both for Raindance students and for everyone.

During the summer months, the Raindance campus offers intensive HND courses leading to further professional degrees. There are two areas for study:
- Filmmaking
- Acting.
Foreign students will be able to gain basic knowledge of the key concepts of the chosen specialty, go from writing an idea to implementing a project, and communicate with leading industry experts.

Raindance Film School has been teaching since 1992, when Dov Siemens held the first master class in the film industry. Today, the school is engaged in the promotion of independent cinema around the world. Located in the heart of London, its campus brings together the Raindance Film Festival, educational courses that are offered throughout the year, and the British Independent Film Awards.
Raindance Film School's courses, classes, and workshops are among the most popular in the world and cover disciplines and crafts such as screenwriting, directing, producing, cinematography, special effects, editing, lighting, short film making, and many others. Over the past 29 years, the film school has had the privilege of teaching the art of film to students in cities around the world, including London, Toronto, Los Angeles, Berlin, Paris, and online.
Raindance has a main campus in London, with affiliated academic venues in Dubai (UAE) and Guadalajara (Mexico).

Accommodation, meals, prices
Raindance does not have its own residences, however, the school staff can provide helpful resources for finding suitable housing near campus. Most often, students rent rooms in shared university residences, apartments and studios from private individuals.
On campus there are shared kitchens and dining rooms where students can cook, store food, a cozy cafeteria that serves hot and cold meals, snacks, drinks.
Activities Raindance Film School
A major event held annually on the school's campus is the massive Raindance Film Festival – Emerging Filmmakers' Day, which features a series of industry talks and presentations specifically designed for students from 16 to 21 years old. The event includes a future career consideration, a pitching seminar, and thematic master classes.
Living in London has many advantages, one of which is access to internationally sought-after theatres and films, art galleries, entertainment venues, and restaurants. Raindance often organizes trips to cultural events, and in the recent past, foreign students have enjoyed a trip to the Cannes Film Festival.

Facilities and equipment at Raindance Film School
Raindance Film School's main learning area is located in Trafalgar Square in London. The campus consists of three large-scale adaptable studios for filming and acting classes:
- The first studio provides ample space for the staging of individual, pair, group scenes; It has a standard black curtain running around the perimeter of the room, which is ideal for practicing lighting techniques, shooting,
- The second studio is set up for group work; Matte black paint on the walls is perfect for immersive viewing, lighting,
- The third studio is a place where the study, practice of video editing and post-technics take place. All computers have the latest versions of Adobe programs, industry standards for software.
Students have access to common areas, classrooms for meeting and exchanging ideas outside of class, kitchens and nearby libraries, public cinema halls such as BFI Southbank, which is just a 10-minute walk from campus.
Raindance Film School has two more campuses: in the UAE and Mexico. Academic venues keep up with the main campus in equipping, offering state-of-the-art facilities to achieve maximum academic success.
Admission dates and extra charges
Raindance Film School is open almost all year round, excluding national and international holidays. Classes are held at different times in the evenings and on weekends.
Not all services are included in tuition fee. The list of additional costs will include:

Enrolment process
Candidates fill out an application for admission and pay the registration fee, after which they are interviewed by the admissions committee. The decision on admission is made on the basis of the entrance stages - the applicant receives an official letter of readiness for enrollment, after which they can arrive at the campus to start their educational process.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol
Overseas applicants need to apply for a student visa or obtain a residence permit in order to study in the UK. A valid passport, health insurance, and academic certificates of achievement from a previous place of study are also required. All programs are conducted in English, so the candidate needs a level of the language of at least B2.
