Pskov State University was founded on April 7, 2011 by merging the Pskov State Pedagogical University named after S.M. Kirov, the Pskov State Polytechnic Institute, the Pskov Industrial College, the Pskov College of Construction and Economics, the Velikoluksky Construction College.
