Perhaps for experienced travelers, this list will seem obvious, but novice tourists are not yet so well prepared to automatically collect the necessary things. We are in a hurry to help them!

Top 4 things you can't do without
- Passports are, of course, foreign. It is not enough to take them, it is important to make sure that their validity period will be relevant even six months after you return home before buying tickets. If you are traveling with children, then do not forget to bring birth certificates for them as well. Ideally, you should have these documents in several versions and copies: from electronic files to paper copies.
- Local currency in paper or electronic format. In addition to Thai baht, you can bring dollars and euros with you to Thailand, which can be easily exchanged for local currency.
- Round-trip air tickets. Even if you are ready to fly on vacation without a return ticket, then the customs may not be ready for this, where you may be asked to confirm the guarantees of return to your home state.
- Health insurance is a formally optional thing, but useful in fact. Thai medicine is not on the list of cheap, so in order not to pay thousands of dollars for the treatment of simple injuries during an active vacation, it is better to take out insurance in advance.
Top 6 groups of things for a family trip with children
- Light cotton clothing - both with short and long sleeves,
- Comfortable shoes with good fixation on the foot and made of breathable material,
- A couple of warm sweatshirts in case of evening walks and rains,
- Swimwear, underwear and sun hats,
- Light shorts, skirts and trousers,
- First aid kit: basic medications that a child usually takes, first aid products, cream with an SPF level of at least 50.
This is a standard set for different ages, specific additions depend on the individual characteristics of your children. For example, the youngest will also need a folding playpen and a stroller. But it is not necessary to stock up on diapers for the entire vacation - there are enough budget stores with baby goods in Thailand.
Top 6 wardrobe items for adults
- Light summer clothes in light colors: from T-shirts to skirts and shorts,
- Swimwear
- Underwear
- Shoes made of breathable materials that do not rub and sit securely on the foot, you can choose to put one pair of sandals and sneakers,
- A sweatshirt with a zipper in a single copy,
- Hats.
You don't need to pick up a dozen similar T-shirts, almost all hotels have laundries that you can use to wash clothes. Try not to take unnecessary things in general under the motto "What if I want to wear this".

- Remedies for gastrointestinal disorders,
- Iodine and brilliant green,
- Healing ointments or creams,
- Antihistamines
- Cough remedies for a mild cold,

Do not forget about individual drugs that you take at normal times, for example, vitamins or other products.
What is easy to do without on a trip
We told you about the things that you definitely need or may well come in handy during your visit to Thailand, but there are also those items that, even if you really want to, are better to leave at home. Here's what's in the anti-top:
- Groceries - there will be enough food for every taste on vacation. The exception to the rule is baby food for the duration of the flight.
- Household supplies - from slippers and soap to towels and dishes. You are not going to conquer wild beaches, but to live in a hotel or apartment, where everything you need is already available. An extreme option is to buy items on the spot, but only those that will not be a pity to leave at the end of the trip. It makes sense to take skin care products with you only if you use specific companies.
- Clothes in case of frost and umbrellas will definitely not be needed in warm climes. Raincoats are more relevant from tropical rains, which can be bought on the spot. But if you have a lightweight option that doesn't take up much space in your luggage, then bring it from home.
- Outfits for "going out", which include ball gowns, tuxedos and heels. If you are going to relax, and not to a social event, then it is better to leave all this cream of the wardrobe in the home closet.
- It is also better not to take jewelry on a trip. A pair of favorite rings, a bracelet and earrings are more than enough for a visit to Thailand.
- Insect repellent and those that contain ephedrine and pseudoephedrine (e.g., often found in bronchodilators). In the first case, local repellents are unlikely to be designed for Thai mosquitoes, so it is better to buy the product on the spot, and in the second case, you risk getting into trouble at the border of the country, since these substances are prohibited in Thailand.
