Nihon University is a private research university. The basis of the university was the Nihon Law School, which is now its law faculty. The nameis "Nihon"and is translated from Japanese as"Japan". The number of students exceeds the mark of 70,000 people, which makes the educational institution the largest in the country. Among the students there are more than 20,000 students, which also makes the university special. About 1200 foreigners from 35 countries study here.

Students of the university live in 8 dormitories, some of them are divided into male and female.

Machida is a dormitory that can accommodate 100 men. It is located 55-70 minutes from the educational buildings. Each tenant is allocated a private room, shared are bathrooms, kitchens, recreation areas with TV. The cost of living per month is 55,000 yen, meals are 400 yen per serving.

Matsudo is located 20-75 minutes from campus. 70 men live here, 3 meals a day with self-service are provided. The monthly price is 55,000 yen.

Inagi is a house-type building for 300 men. The way to study takes 55-80 minutes. There are 3 meals a day, private rooms. The cost per month is 35,000 yen, including utility bills.

Koriyama is a dormitory on the campus of the Faculty of Engineering. It accommodates 100 men, offering each a separate bedroom. There are 3 meals a day with self-service. The price for a monthly stay is 50,000 yen along with utility bills.

Akatsumi is located next to the Faculty of Arts. Here, 48 girls live in separate bedrooms. The cost per month is 65,000 yen: rent, utilities, 3 meals a day.

Miyasaka is a residential building in a quiet area where 31 girls live. The way to study takes 20-50 minutes. Each is provided with a private room, 3 meals a day. The price for a monthly home is 65,000 yen, including utility bills.

Higashigaoka is located 10-55 minutes from the campus, close to the city center. The dormitory accommodates 150 girls, allocating each room. The monthly price is 65,000 yen, including utilities, three meals a day.

The Musashi Toshihide School Dormitory is a shared residential campus for 42 people with private rooms. It is home to graduate students and successful bachelor students. The cost per year is 448,000 yen, including daily breakfasts and dinners, utility bills.

Facilities and equipment at Nihon University

Each faculty has its own campus. Most of them are located in the Kanto region, Tokyo.

The library of the institution has the largest number of books among private universities - almost 6 million volumes of various literature in different languages.
