Summer course of French for schoolchildren

  • Students age: 7-10, 11-13, 14-17 years old
  • Intensity: 15 lessons per week
  • Groups of up to 16 people
  • The minimum level of knowledge: any, from the initial (Beginner / Elementary, A1).

The program is universal - it will help quickly and effectively develop all the basic skills of the French language:

  • Grammar
  • Reading
  • Auditing (listening comprehension)
  • Vocabulary (active expansion of vocabulary)
  • Written speech
  • Oral speech (spoken English)
  • Phonetics (correct pronunciation, accent correction)

Particular attention is paid to the development of oral speech, the expansion of vocabulary. In the educational process, a communicative and individual approach is actively used: in classes of up to 12-16 students, each receives a proper amount of personal attention from an experienced, qualified teacher (they all have appropriate accreditations, are native speakers). Also in French, all excursions and most leisure activities are held, as well as communication on the camp territory - Russian students will most likely not hear a Russian speech during the entire period of study!

Classes are held on weekdays (Monday-Friday) for 3 hours a day: either in the morning (9: 00-12: 00) or after lunch (14: 00-17: 00). Initial testing of the level of knowledge distributes all children into groups according to the level of initial training - this makes learning more productive, quick and comfortable for students. The resources of the university library, computers and online programs, linguaphone devices for the development of listening and oral, colloquial speech are actively used.

A useful supplement to the main language lessons are project lessons: independently or in mini-groups, students create work on a variety of topics, actively using the knowledge gained in grammar or vocabulary. You can write a camp newspaper, create interesting oral presentations and reports, stage dramatic theatrical performances, participate in language contests and competitions, etc.
