English Summer Course

  • Age - from 10 to 17 years,
  • The duration of training is from one week.

Students from 10 to 17 years old are given the opportunity to have a fun and useful summer vacation on the campus of Mount St Mary's Summer School. The program includes English classes in small groups of up to 15 people, daily activities and excursions twice a week.

Students can choose the most suitable language learning format: standard, intensive or individual.

  • In the standard form, English is studied in the amount of 15 hours a week,
  • Intensive course – 20 hours per week in groups of up to 6 people, dedicated to grammar and vocabulary development, communication and pronunciation,
  • An individual plan is ideal for students who have a specific academic goal and require special attention. Classes alone with the teacher will strengthen confidence in the use of English in everyday life and maintain interest in learning.

All formats of the program are based on the study of important aspects of the English language: reading and writing, grammar, speaking and listening comprehension, vocabulary development. Group lessons help to train new knowledge right in the classroom - through a discussion of the topic of the lesson and personal interests, discussion.

The weekly cost of the course includes accommodation in residences and meals, campus activities and field trips.

Paris Saint-Germain Academy England: Summer Football Course 

  • Age - from 8 to 17 years,
  • The training period is from one to four weeks.

Students of the school have the opportunity not only to effectively improve their knowledge of the English language, but also to devote their free time to sports training in football. As part of the weekly schedule:

  • English classes – 15 hours,
  • Football training: group and individual - 10 hours,
  • Events on campus every evening,
  • Excursions are available two or three times a week.

Football classes are held under the guidance of professional athletes-coaches of the French PSG team and are aimed at developing skills such as:

  • Possession of the ball,
  • Running
  • Dribbling
  • Transmissions and receptions,
  • Defense and fighting,
  • Strikes from close and long distances,
  • Air control of the ball,
  • Understanding the technique of the game.

Students will gain full knowledge of the rules, techniques and techniques that are applied by the players of one of the best football teams in the world.

Language classes ideally complement the sports component of the program and help in training no less than physical skills. English is used in classrooms, playgrounds, one-on-one meetings with teachers, field trips, and in everyday life, so it's important for students to have confidence in using it. Teachers will help improve reading and pronunciation skills, listening comprehension and vocabulary, teach you to read fluently and write correctly. The course is suitable for all students, regardless of their initial language level.

Mount St Mary's Summer School is a summer school located in rural Derbyshire. English language programs for students from 10 to 17 years old are taught here.

The ideal location, comfortable environment and modern infrastructure, qualified teachers and multinationality among students make the summer holidays of students truly rich and exciting. Language learning is combined with active activities on campus and excursions exploring the sights and natural beauties of England.

Accommodation, meals, prices

The school's residential residence is close to popular attractions such as the National Space Center, Chatsworth House and the Gullivers Valley theme park.

Boys and girls are accommodated separately. Most of the rooms are single rooms and have a private bathroom, but the building also has a shared apartment: from two to four bedrooms.  Dormitory rooms use shared bathrooms and showers. The residence is equipped with living rooms with TVs, game consoles, board games. Here, students relax before going to bed and in their free time.

Several living rooms are reserved for the accommodation of employees, who provide children with comfort, safety and assistance at all times.

Students are provided with a varied menu consisting of healthy, balanced dishes of different national cuisines: salads, pasta, meat and dairy products, sweets, vegetables and fruits. All dishes are served in the form of a buffet - students can choose what they would like to eat. During breaks between lessons, children receive a snack: fruits and juices, cereal bars. Students with special dietary and medical needs can receive an alternative menu.

Activities Mount St Mary's Summer School

Each day, students can choose the activities they would like to participate in: 4 to 6 different events take place daily, including swimming, cricket, basketball, arts and crafts, drama, tennis, rugby, yoga and more.

The evening program of events is also always intense: quizzes, theme parties, talent shows, film screenings and other collective events. On Friday afternoons, students visit local attractions, the evening ends with a barbecue on the school grounds, and then a disco.

Full-day tours take place on Wednesdays and Sundays. Students will have the opportunity to see:

  • Peak District National Park: picturesque landscapes, hiking in Mam Tor and famous caves,
  • Chatsworth House: visit to the house and gardens belonging to the Devonshire family,
  • Leeds sightseeing, visiting the city museum and shopping in Victoria, 
  • National Space Centre:  The UK's largest planetarium, which houses a 42-metre rocket tower,
  • York:  walking tour of the historic city, visiting York Minster and shopping.

All excursions, including entrance fees and transfers, are included in the price of the course.

Facilities and equipment at Mount St Mary's Summer School

The institution's campus is located in the picturesque countryside of Derbyshire, close to Sheffield and Chesterfield. The location of the school creates ideal conditions for spending summer holidays in it, as students are given the opportunity to explore many of the sights of England and visit cities nearby: York, Sheffield, Manchester and Leeds. Excellent transport links will also allow you to get to London in just 90 minutes.  The nearest airport to campus is the East Midlands – just 45 minutes away, and Manchester Airport 1.30 hours away.

The language course takes place in July and August. Academic classes are organized in the morning, activities and trips in the afternoon and evening.

The standard weekly schedule includes:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday: morning classes, activities and half-day excursions in the afternoon and evening,
  • Wednesday, Sunday: full-day excursion.

The cost of the course includes activities and excursions, accommodation in the format of full board, a standard set of language classes. An approximate list of additional costs:

  • Transfer to / from the airport (Manchester, East Midlands),

  • One-to-one lessons,
  • A separate private lesson.
