The Moscow Theological Academy of the Russian Orthodox Church is a higher educational institution where future clergy of the Russian Orthodox Church are trained. The Academy has developed its own educational program based on training modules devoted to the study of the Holy Scriptures and Holy Tradition. Thanks to this system, the students of the Academy are deeply aware of Christian teaching and can answer the main questions of life.
Educational process
The implementation of the educational program at the MDA ROC provides for the following formats: lectures, practical and seminar classes, extracurricular activities. Regular services, morning and evening prayers are built into the curriculum of pupils.

Pupils of the MDA ROC live in the dormitory of the university for the duration of their studies. The total number of seats is 632. Comfortable conditions for living and studying have been created for pupils, and no fee is charged.

The MDA ROC is located on the territory of the Holy Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius in Sergiev Posad. The auditoriums of the Academy are equipped with modern computers and multimedia projectors. Practical classes are held in temples located on the territory of the Lavra.

Admission dates and extra charges
At the MDA ROC, the academic year begins in the first half of September and is divided into two semesters: autumn and spring. Classes are held according to the schedule of a six-day working week. Every day (except Sundays) pupils attend classes, and then obedience. The beginning of classes is in accordance with the schedule of study groups.
At the end of each semester, an examination session is held. Students are provided with vacation weekends: winter (January) and summer (July-August).

Enrolment process
Acceptance of documents for full-time education at the MDA begins on June 19 of the current year, ending on July 10. Dates of additional entrance examinations: from July 11 to July 15 of the current year.
