The Moscow Institute of Social and Economics (MSEI) was founded on December 1, 1997. The Institute is one of the leading educational institutions that produce highly qualified specialists. ITUI is famous for its maximum convenience for students, the learning process is carried out with a bias towards an individual approach. Students are given the opportunity to receive two higher educations at once, combining their studies in two specialties. During the pandemic, the university began to actively promote distance education, giving the opportunity to non-resident students to get an education without leaving their hometown.
Faculties and colleges
In 1998, the Faculty of Higher Education was established by the leadership of MSEI. It consists of the following departments:
- Economics and Management;
- Legal disciplines;
- Customs and foreign economic activity.
The management of the faculty considers its main task to prepare highly qualified personnel to meet the basic needs of society, the scientific environment, enterprises and organizations, state authorities and local self-government in competitive specialists.
Scientific achievements
MSEI students and faculty take an active part in international research conferences. One of the latter was participation in the XIX Interuniversity Student Scientific and Practical Conference named after V.F. Khozov "Russia in the World. The View of the Young".
AIEI has a number of partnership agreements at the international level. Partners of the Institute are:
- South Kazakhstan State University named after M. Auezov;
- Kazakhstan Peoples' Friendship University;
- Non-state educational institution INSTITUTE OF STATE ADMINISTRATION AND LAW (Uzbekistan).
Things to know about
MSEI cooperates with the All-Russian Children's Center "Orlyonok". Thanks to the partnership with the summer camp, university students can find a job for the summer as counselors and relax at sea.
ITUI is a partner of DOSSAF Russia. Thanks to the strong ties of organizations, university students can engage in driving courses, in a shooting range or in a parachutist school.
The Institute has also entered into partnerships with the School of Radio Electronics, within the framework of which students can master an applied profession and earn extra money in parallel with studying at the university.
Accommodation, meals, prices
To accommodate nonresident and foreign students, the administration of the MSEI concluded a Cooperation Agreement No. 31 of 20.07.2021 with the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology - MBA named after K.I. Scriabin". Students of the Institute are granted the right to live in the dormitories of the FSBEI HE MGAVMiB - MBA named after K.I. Scriabin. Residential buildings are located within walking distance from the educational building of THE MSEI at the following addresses: Tashkent street, 34, korp. 1, 2 and Akademika Skryabina str., 25/1, korp. 4. Students live in the dormitory for 2-3 people. Bright rooms are equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay and education.
The residential buildings of the dormitories are adapted for the accommodation of disabled people and persons with disabilities. The total housing stock available for settlement by AIEI students is 50 places.
The cost of living is an average of 2056 rubles per month, depending on the type of residential unit:
- Corridor type (2024 rubles per month);
- Block type (2055 rubles per month);
- Apartment type (2087 rubles per month).
Activities Moscow Institute of Socio-Economics (MSEI)
MSEI is actively involved in the spiritual development of its students. Every year, the Institute holds events dedicated to the Great Patriotic War: excursions to the Museum of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, students and teachers take part in parades and in the Immortal Regiment.
Every year an ecological tourist gathering is held. The Institute organizes the annual participation of students in the rally dedicated to the Day of the Great Victory.
In addition, the Institute, together with youth clubs, organizes summer tourist trips abroad.
Facilities and equipment at Moscow Institute of Socio-Economics (MSEI)
The main building of the ISEI is located in Moscow along the Kashirskoye highway. The second building of the MSEI, where the main educational process takes place, is located at the address: Tashkentskaya Street, 26, corp. 2. The university has no branches.
MSEI has a sufficient material and technical base for the successful educationof students and educational work. Thanks to the co-founder of the institute - the Moscow city organization DOSAAF of Russia - museums, sports complexes, laboratories, and a health complex are available to university students as education grounds. This approach allows students to receive a harmonious and comprehensive education.
THERE are two computer labs at THE AIJ, with some 72 computers, each connected to the Internet.
For students of the Department of Jurisprudence, a modern courtroom is equipped.
90% of classrooms are equipped with multimedia and projection equipment.
The entrance to the building of the educational building is provided with access for people with disabilities, equipped with a ramp.
For security reasons, the buildings are equipped with a video surveillance system and a fire protection system.
Admission dates and extra charges
At ITUI, the educational process is carried out according to the semester system. Education in each takes 4-5 months, at the end of the semester session.
Additional costs for the duration of education at the university are on average from 10,000-15,000 rubles. This amount includes: accommodation in a hostel, meals, transportation and other expenses.
Enrolment process
Before becoming a full-fledged student of THE INTERNATIONAL Institute, the applicant must submit documents to the admissions office by the end of July. The package of documents should consist of the following:
- Application for admission to the university;
- Questionnaire;
- Consent to the processing of personal data;
- Documents on education (certificate or diploma);
- Documents on education(diploma of incomplete higher education or certificate of study (academic certificate);
- Consent to enrollment;
- Documents confirming the right to benefits;
- Photos (size 3x4, matte, 2 pcs.);
- Passport;
- Medical certificate in the prescribed form (only for full-time students and is provided after enrollment);
- SNILS;
- Registration certificate or military ID (for conscripts);
- Materials of entrance tests (results of the Unified State Exam or internal written testing).
For the convenience of nonresident applicants, you can submit documents to the admissions committee via e-mail. Entrance tests can also be taken remotely.
Enrolment statistics
The Institute has 600 paid places for students: 150 places are allocated for each area of study.
Admission to places financed from budget allocations of the federal budget, the budgets of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, local budgets is not carried out in the MSEI.
Perspectives
In the 23 years of its existence of the Faculty of Higher Education, MSEI has produced about 20,000 highly qualified personnel. The Institute has about 37 regional partners in Russia and the CIS.
Students undergo practical education in state and municipal government bodies, which gives them a good base for employment.
Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol
When accepting documents from those wishing to enter the ICEI, the following requirements are put forward:
- Completed secondary general (11 grades), secondary vocational or higher education;
- Successful completion of entrance examinations or testing (including for foreign citizens);
- Results of the Unified State Exam.
The minimum number of points on the Unified State Exam and entrance tests:
- Russian language – 36/36 points;
- Mathematics – 27/27 points;
- History – 32/32 points;
- Foreign language – 22/22 points;
- Social Studies – 42/42 points;
- Informatics and ICT – 40/40 points;
- Geography – 37/37 points.
THE MSEI entrance tests are conducted in writing (testing) and in Russian language.
Scholarships Moscow Institute of Socio-Economics (MSEI)
There is no provision for scholarships for students studying at AIEI.
By decision of the rector of the institute, students may be granted a discount on payment for educational services (up to 20%), based on the prevailing conditions, marital status, level of material security and other significant circumstances.
