Manchester High School for Girls (MHSG) is a private day school for girls aged 4 to 18. The history of the school began in 1874 with the opening of one of the first girls' schools in the UK and the first academic school for girls in the north of England. MHSG's main goal is to empower girls to surpass themselves.

For the convenience of pupils and their parents, the school provides a school bus service, which is especially relevant for girls living more than 5 km from Manchester High School. The issue of transfer is one of the main ones for the school: Manchester High School has entered into several agreements with private transport companies so that for every girl to be safe on the way from home to school and back.

Hot lunches and snacks are provided daily to the girls at MHSG. The menu is varied and prepared exclusively from fresh products, food and snack options are planned a month in advance. The school takes into account the individuality of each student and takes care of their health: the menu is made taking into account the preferences of allergy sufferers, vegetarian dishes and lactose-free options are mandatory.

Manchester High School for Girls has bright classrooms and state-of-the-art science labs, dedicated areas for mathematics and science, a music room, a library and two computer labs with multimedia equipment.

For junior students, there are two assembly halls, a separate playground and gardens on campus.

The purpose-built Music House houses 12 rehearsal rooms and several classrooms, including one with ensemble space. In addition, there is an illuminated all-weather hockey field, tennis and netball courts, a climbing wall and a swimming pool, providing opportunities for sports at any time of the year.

The academic year at Manchester High School for Girls lasts 10 months and is divided into three trimesters: autumn, spring and summer. The school year starts in September and ends in June. To ensure enough time for rest and recovery, there are holidays between trimesters.

When applying to Manchester High School for Girls, you must:

2. Submit an application with a completed application form, pay the registration fee,
3. Successfully pass the entrance exams,
4. Successfully pass the interview (for high school and Sixth Form only),

In addition to the offer letter, the girl and her parents will receive an information letter about the summer activities held at the school.

Today, Manchester High School for Girls has more than 900 students between the ages of 4 and 18.

Career and higher education support is provided to each student through the Careers Department and a team of qualified higher education counsellors. Career guidance is offered to students in grade 7 and above. Once every 2 years, Manchester High School for Girls hosts a career fair that showcases different professions and universities: this event is open to students in Year 9 and above. In addition, during the lessons of a healthy lifestyle, girls are offered advice on writing resumes and letters of application to universities, and the technique of conducting interviews is considered.

• Preparatory classes. Girls 4+ years old are invited to school for certification, during which they work individually with a teacher, communicate in small groups with girls of the same age. In this informal and friendly atmosphere, they take part in a series of activities and assignments that determine whether or not they will be happy in the school environment.
• Junior School. Candidates are tested in math and English, small tests on problem solving and cognitive abilities. References indicating the type of work that applicants are expected to be familiar with are sent to parents upon receipt of the completed registration form; The school report is requested from the principal of the school where the girl is currently studying.
• High School. Candidates take exams in mathematics, essay writing, comprehension, and reasoning. The school report is requested from the principal of the school where the girl is currently studying.
• Sixth Form. The candidate must have at least an A (or 7) grade in GCSE in the subjects she wants to study, must have good grades in English, Mathematics, at least five final exams of a grade of 7 or above. Girls studying science and further studies at GCSE should bear in mind that a grade of 7 or above is required to study a science subject at an appropriate level, including in Mathematics.

• Academic Scholarships at MHSG: One or more academic scholarships may be awarded for excellent performance in the entrance exams for admission to Grade 7.
• Music, Sports, and Dance Scholarships: Applicants must indicate their interest in music, sports, and dance scholarships when filling out the registration form. The scholarship is usually a percentage of the fees paid, with the maximum allowed amount being 50%, but most are less.
