The modern Linsly School was established in 1814 when a young and visionary lawyer, Noah Linsley, gave instructions and resources to build a school for the youth of Willington. Today, the Linsly School is an intellectually challenging school that prepares its students for success both in college and beyond. The STEAM curriculum for Linsly School students includes an integrated approach combining the disciplines of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Linsly Boarding provides all kinds of support to students wishing to join the community and explore campus life. Accommodation is available for students in grades 7-12 and has a safe, structured and family atmosphere. Linsly Guesthouse is quickly becoming a second home for local and international students from all over the world.

Boarding students are accommodated in one of four residences under the supervision of faculty living with them on campus with their families. With each residence connected to at least two faculty houses, students quickly realize that their room is actually an extension of Linsly's house. From family dinners with friends and adults to organized evening pizza and movie get-togethers, life at Linsly Guesthouse combines the structure and discipline necessary for academic success with the caring support for self-realization.

Boarding students attend college preparatory classes. The "Added Value" aspect of the Linsly's Residence Life community comes from the active participation of all community members using every learning moment.

Whether a child is interested in athletics, art, theater, music, robotics, or just wants to try something new, Linsly's  extracurricular program has everyone's interests covered. More than 20 teachers live in residences located on the picturesque Linsly campus, creating a special neighborhood atmosphere providing an inspiring and caring space for all students, from the youngest fifth graders to confident high school students, to grow and learn.

The newly renovated Banes Hall serves as the main educational building of the school. There are 27 study rooms, modern science laboratories, constantly updated computer centers, a modern technological library, a music room, a swimming pool and a cafeteria. The school has first-class studios, classrooms and galleries, the Hess Center provides equipment for students interested in woodworking, the Dlesk Conference Center is a unique place to meet or study the Linsly history archive.

The Linsly School year is divided into two semesters, consisting of 15 weeks each: the fall semester begins in August and lasts until December, and the spring semester runs from January to May.

The main goal of the Linsly School counseling office is to find the most suitable college or university that takes into account the needs and interests of the each student. The Office of Counseling offers a comprehensive program for high school students that includes counseling on the college search process, financial aid, testing, college application, and the selection process.

However, college application assistance is not limited to one-on-one meetings with students and parents. College counseling, which is conducted using the Naviance Family Connection program, is also important: it provides students with the opportunity to explore various colleges and scholarships, train for standardized tests, and take a personality assessment related to an extensive list of professions. Students are provided with registration information for the Naviance program as early as their freshman year, during leadership classes: this is a great opportunity for high school students to work in small groups on specific college-related topics, gain hands-on experience for college applications, and get all questions answered about the process.

The college search and selection process at Linsly is highly personalized and efficiently accompanied by the Director of the Counseling Bureau, the Linsly Faculty, and the Naviance program, which helps students determine their academic and personal priorities when choosing a higher education institution.

Linsly also offers financial support to international students: families interested in receiving such assistance must fill out the form provided for foreign students at SSS.

Linsly School has an extensive personal scholarship program: each of these scholarships has its own requirements set by investors. All personal scholarships are awarded only to new incoming students.
