Undergraduate

The undergraduate course at Kyungbok University aims to train quality professionals through higher education. Therefore, in connection with the reorientation of the higher education system to two main goals - academic research and career growth - reflecting the situation in which universities find themselves, KBU introduced an advanced undergraduate course to train the professional staff needed for employers, and provided the opportunity for all holders of associate degrees continue their studies after graduating from 2-3 year college.

Korean language program

  • Dates: year-round
  • Duration: 10 weeks.

The Korean Education Center (KEC) has been teaching the Korean language as a second language since March 2018. KBU is developing KEC into one of the best educational institutions for Korean education with an outstanding teaching staff and excellent teaching materials. The program consists of 5 levels of Korean language proficiency. Each level includes 200 hours (4 hours a day). Additionally, KEC offers Korean culture programs to better understand life in Korea and promote cultural awareness.

Summer study tour program

  • Dates: July 2 - July 29
  • Duration: 4 weeks.

KEC organizes short-term study travel programs every summer season. These programs are offered to students who want to learn Korean and enjoy a tourist holiday in Korea.

Accommodation, meals, prices

The university provides its students with the opportunity to live in a residence, with accommodation in two types of rooms:

  • Double: 2 twin beds, bathroom, desk, wardrobe, wardrobe, refrigerator. Cost 240 000 â‚© / month
  • Triple: bed, shower, toilet, desk, personal wardrobe, refrigerator. The cost is 170,000 â‚© / month.

The hostel has a shared kitchen, allowing students to cook their own meals.

Activities Kyungbok University

K2 Mates is a vibrant team of Korean students who speak some foreign languages. The team annually accepts foreign students, helping them adapt to university life in Korea through various social events. Connecting to K2 Mates is a great way to practice Korean, make new friends, find your way around campus, and get to know the Korean environment.

The Woodang Art Hall, located on the ground floor of the Munhwakwan Building, is used as a venue for various performances, exhibitions, forums and a degree ceremony.

KBU offers a gym and fitness center for all students.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

To enter the university you must:

  • Request
  • High school graduation document
  • Official transcript of academic performance
  • Korean language proficiency certification (TOPIK Level 3 / Completion of the TOPIK level 4 Korean language course at KBU or Korean universities)
  • Applicant’s passport and parent’s ID (foreign registration card, if any)
  • Certificate of Family Relationship
  • 2 photos (3 × 4 cm)
  • Proof of employment and annual income of parents.

All documents must be translated into English / Korean.

Depending on the country of origin, some of the above documents may be canceled or additional documents may be required.
