Junior Summer Courses

  • Age - from 9 to 12 years,
  • The duration of training is one or two weeks.

Summer programs for young researchers form two large groups that distribute children by age: 9-10 and 11-12 years old. The training takes place in an interactive format and is based on practice: experiments, research, communication in groups, projects, games. Teachers create an interesting and exciting atmosphere, during which knowledge is absorbed better, and interest in learning is not lost.

Each course includes excursions that complement the academic material and bring new positive emotions to the study.

Students are invited to choose one of several areas that best meet their personal interests:

  • Enterprise Explorers (Business & Entrepreneurship)

The course is devoted to the study of the work of enterprises, the implementation of business ideas and the development of social qualities. Students will explore a variety of topics related to the business industry: supply chains, the process of creating and developing a company, the main parties that distinguish one brand from many, markets, and much more.

  • History Explorers

The program will allow children to learn many new facts about history: politics, culture, human and technological achievements. Students will be able to understand what happened and when to make our world look the way it looks now.

  • Law Explorers (law)

The course is based on research on laws, the justice system, and real-life situations. Students will learn about complex ways of drafting laws through a combination of interactive study groups and one-on-one research. As the course progresses, children will be able to understand what it means to be a lawyer and what really happens in the courtroom.   

  • Maths Explorers (Mathematics)

One of the main components of academic school programs will be studied in an exciting format that will not allow the child to lose interest in the exact sciences. Children will learn to analyze patterns, solve numerical problems, and notice how mathematical conditions exist in everyday life. The basics of the studied areas range from geometric mathematics to algebra and statistics, which will be shown through the example of puzzles.

  • Medicine Explorers (medicine)

The medical course will provide students with the opportunity to gain knowledge on a range of fascinating and informative topics about biology, human anatomy, and the medical profession. Thanks to interactive lessons, students will be able to see in practice the process of treating patients, conducting research and scientific achievements.

  • Science Explorers (science)

This program is a curriculum for the study of everything that surrounds us: cells, genes, atoms, molecules will be considered in interactive classes using high-tech equipment. From the origin of life to the exploration of outer space, children will gain knowledge about everything that has a material form.

  • Story Explorers (writing a story)

The course invites students to learn how characters are created, the plot is structured, and the reader's attention is captured. Teachers will teach children how to immerse the audience in written stories, create exciting adventures with the help of comics, look at the role of photos and podcasts in modern storytelling, and draw inspiration from their favorite writers.

  • Technology Explorers (technology)

Junior Summer School is a school that conducts exciting courses for children from 9 to 12 years old during the summer months.

Oxford summer programs are held on the campuses of two institutions: Harrow School and Winchester College. The distribution of students to study areas is organized independently, but the student can ask the staff to assign them to a specific campus if his friends are already studying on it.

Lessons and activities, accommodation and meals, round-the-clock care and attention of teachers diversify the summer holidays of students from different countries, because children from all over the world come to the courses.

Accommodation, meals, prices

Comfortable accommodation with education is organized on two campuses: Harrow School and Winchester College. The residential buildings in both territories offer mainly common rooms for several students; Upon request and subject to availability, the student can ask for accommodation in a single room.

The education in summer courses takes place from July to the end of August. Each course has its own dates, but their duration is the same - one to two weeks.
