Description of Institute of Social and Humanitarian Knowledge, ISGZ

ISGZ is one of the oldest private universities in the Republic of Tatarstan. On the basis of the Institute, programs of higher professional education are implemented in such areas as linguistics, applied informatics, jurisprudence and others.

Educational process

The implementation of the educational program in the ISGZ provides for the following forms of organizing the cognitive activity of students: lectures, practical and seminar classes, extracurricular work (excursions, practice).

Faculties and colleges

On the basis of the Institute of Social and Humanitarian Knowledge, the Faculty of Management, Economics and Law operates. In addition, there are 13 departments in the ISGZ:

  • state and municipal administration;
  • constitutional and administrative law;
  • translation and theoretical linguistics;
  • Applied Informatics and Mathematics;
  • criminal law and procedure;
  • economics and entrepreneurship;
  • accounting and finance;
  • civil law and process;
  • international and European law;

In 2005 and 2008, 2 branches were opened - Astrakhan and Yelabuga.

Scientific achievements

In 2012, a complete systematization of the scientific areas "Innovations and Traditions in the System of Business, Power and Society" implemented in the ISGZ was carried out.

On the basis of the university, the publishing house of ISGZ "Universal" conducts its activities. Monographs, scientific and methodological manuals, collections of theses, articles are published annually. In addition, the ISGZ publishing house regularly publishes a scientific and practical collection "Scientific Notes of ISGZ".

Things to know about

Since 2009, the annual International Scientific and Practical Conference "Electronic Kazan" has been held on the initiative of the ISGZ.

In 2011, a "Memorandum of Cooperation in the Field of Education and Science" was signed between THE UNIVERSITY of Economics in Bratislava (Slovakia).

Student life at ISGZ is filled with activities and excursions. For students' leisure, the following are formed:

  • Creative team "Koldiha";
  • KVN team "New Format";
  • Vocal ensemble "Guria".

For sports fans, a football team of the Institute has been created.

Facilities and equipment at Institute of Social and Humanitarian Knowledge, ISGZ

At the disposal of the Institute there are two educational buildings, where classrooms and laboratories are located. All of them are equipped with computers and projectors, which helps to visually demonstrate educational materials to students.

In addition, the ISGZ uses a sports hall located in the Sports and Recreation Complex "Labor Reserves", and a library where students can independently study additional information and prepare for the session.

In the main educational building of the Institute there is a medical center. In addition, the ISGZ is attached to the City Polyclinic No. 21 in Kazan.

Admission dates and extra charges

The academic year is divided into the following periods:

  • Autumn semester (September-December);
  • Spring semester (January-June);
  • Examination sessions: December, June;
  • Holidays: winter (January) and summer (June-August).

The schedule of classes of each group is formed on the basis of the form of education and the course. On average, one pair lasts two academic hours (1.5 hours), between classes there are breaks of an average of 5 to 15 minutes.

Enrolment process

When submitting documents for education at the ISGZ, the applicant must either provide the results of the Unified State Exam or pass internal tests (VI), which are conducted in the form of test tasks in Russian language.

  • Literature – 40;
  • Foreign language – 30;
  • Mathematics – 39;
  • Informatics – 44;

When entering the ISGZ, the applicant must fill out a number of documents:

  • Consent to the processing of personal data;
  • Application for admission to the competition for admission;
  • Consent to enrollment.

In addition, a personal student card is formed, for which the following are provided:
