Hertie School of Management was founded by the Hertie Foundation, which finances democracy and European integration projects. The main task: to study, develop and teach new methods of government. In 2005, the School got the opportunity to give higher education, work on master's programs, and since 2008 access to graduate school has been open. Since 2012, the scientific board of the Hertie School of Management has awarded doctoral degrees.

Students rent apartments in the city. For accommodation you will need to allocate from 450 € to 850 €, for food and transport - from 350 € to 500 € per month.
Hertie School of Management has modern classrooms equipped with the latest technology, a library, gyms and venues.
In 2023, the School will move to the Robert Koch Forum, a historic building near the Reichstag, where the school will have restored lecture halls, a conference hall with 300 seats, a large library. The Hertie School of Management will be the main tenant of the William II era building. For the restoration of the Forum, the Berlin authorities allocated more than 42 million euros.
The academic year is divided into 2 semesters.
