Founded in 1958, Fuzhou University is one of the key national universities selected to participate in Project 211, the Chinese government's program for the twenty-first century, aimed at supporting 100 selected universities for their further rapid development. Since its inception, Fuzhou University has developed into a key comprehensive university in Fujian Province, prioritizing engineering courses as well as enjoying a reputation for excellence in other fields including science, economics, management, humanities, law, art and design.
There are 4 postdoctoral research stations, 9 doctoral programs in first-rank disciplines, 54 doctoral programs in second-rank disciplines, 29 master's programs in first-rank disciplines, and 168 master's programs in secondary disciplines, discharge disciplines, and 11 professional degree authorization stations.

Accommodation, meals, prices
The University provides comfortable double rooms for foreign students, which are equipped with a private balcony, bathroom, air conditioning, water heater, Internet interface, individual desk, wardrobe. In each student apartment there are special administrative staff and staff cleaners, security guards are on duty around the clock to ensure security.
Most of the dormitories on campus are already connected to the university network. Washing machines are standard equipment provided in off-campus apartments, but dormitories usually have a shared laundry room where students pay a minimal fee. Laundry and dry cleaning services are also available in the university area.
The canteens of the university are landscaped, clean and cozy: they provide students and teachers with a variety of food products of excellent quality and at a competitive price around the clock.

Enrolment process
- Download and complete the Fuzhou University Study Application Form for International Students and send it by email.
- Send a copy of the applicant's passport along with the application form by e-mail, fax or post to the School of Foreign Education.
- If you receive a positive response, pay the registration fee to the bank account of Fuzhou University.
- Inform the School of Foreign Education that the registration fee has been paid.
- The "Admission Notice" and the "Visa Application Form for Study in China" (JW202) will be sent to the accepted applicant. You need to contact the Chinese Embassy or Consulate General in your home country with these two documents and apply for a student visa. The applicant must register with the Overseas Education School of Fuzhou University.
- Students wishing to use the university meeting service upon arrival in China are kindly requested to inform the School of Overseas Education in advance and provide their flight number and arrival time.

Scholarships Fuzhou University

Scholarships of the Chinese government are provided by the Ministry of Education of China. This scholarship is only eligible for phD candidates and will be awarded to 5 candidates annually at Fuzhou University. For postgraduate programs, the duration of this scholarship is 2-3 years, 3-4 years for doctoral programs.
