Fanshawe College Canada is one of the largest colleges in Canada, with seven academic territories in southwestern Ontario. It offers more than 220 professional education programs awarding certificates or diplomas in a wide range of scientific fields.: from agriculture, business and finance to medical sciences, mathematics, art.

Founded in 1967, the college took the place of the London Ontario Vocational Center and quickly became part of the provincial educational system. Gradually, its territory expanded, and the number of courses offered and students who still come from abroad to receive high-quality specialized preparation increased. Today, the college has 11 scientific faculties, on the basis of which more than 220 specialties are taught: each of the programs is focused on practice, obtaining applied skills and effective preparation for a quick start to a career. Approximately 43,000 students are enrolled in seven educational territories located in different cities of Ontario, and they are mentored by several hundred qualified teachers and researchers. Slightly less than half of the students, about 21,000, attend classes full-time, receiving a high level of individual attention to their abilities and goals.

In addition to effective practice-oriented education in Canada, students get the opportunity to develop their strengths and talents: Fanshawe College Canada has extracurricular themed clubs, several women's and men's sports teams, and regularly organizes traditional, cultural, and recreational events. What are the most popular majors among students currently?

Business remains popular, but engineering and IT are quickly gaining ground. STEM fields are seen as advantageous not only for education in Canada but also for gaining professional experience, especially with the post-study work opportunities they offer. The pandemic has also sparked increased interest in biological and chemical sciences.

Fanshawe College has dozens of specialized departments focused on comprehensive student support and providing them with additional opportunities. During their studies, students can seek assistance such as:

The Center for Applied Research and Innovation in Biotechnology (CARIB), operating under the college, focuses on scientific projects in the fields of food products and sustainable development. Both research staff and its students, as well as external specialists who help develop ideas and implement projects on a larger scale, are involved in the research.

First-year students are guaranteed a place in one of the college's residences, which offer two room options: traditional and townhouses.

• Traditional rooms are prepared in three residential buildings, accommodating up to 1,220 students. Accommodation is provided in double and quadruple rooms with fully furnished, access to shared bathrooms, kitchens with household appliances, recreation areas, laundry rooms. There are a limited number of luxury suites, which combine four separate bedrooms and include a kitchenette, two bathrooms, and a living room. While living in a traditional residence, students are required to arrange one of the meal plans: each includes a certain number of meals per week and additional points for spending on campus facilities. The plan adapts to the needs of the student and is accepted by all food outlets on the school grounds.
• The Kestrel Court residence consists of 66 townhouses for 396 residents. Each townhouse has six people, for whom separate bedrooms and common areas are prepared: a living room, a fully equipped kitchen, several bathrooms. The building has a laundry room, wired Internet connection and Wi-Fi. When staying in a townhouse, residents do not necessarily have to have a meal plan, but many of them arrange it.

The staff of the specialized department provides information on proven accommodation options outside the educational territories: rental apartments and rooms, external university residences, and host families.

The Fanshawe College Canada Student Union is the main organization overseeing themed communities and organizing most campus events. The Union serves as the voice of the student community, advocates for their rights, and helps find additional opportunities for academic, athletic, and creative development.

Themed clubs represent student interests and create a favorable atmosphere for realizing talents among like-minded peers. They are divided into categories: academic, scientific, religious, national, and others:

Fanshawe College Canada is located in seven academic territories within Ontario. Three campuses are located in London, the others are in Clinton, Simcoe, St. Thomas and Woodstock.

The main academic site is prepared for the education of most full-time students. Located 15 minutes from the city center, the campus consists of 11 modern buildings covering an area of 100 acres. Every sixth resident of London studied at Fanshawe on a full-time or part-time basis! In addition to modern classrooms, students have access to several cafeterias and restaurants, four residences, modern sports facilities and a fitness center, a bookstore, a computer center and much more. The Center for Applied Transportation Technologies and the Aviation School are located a few minutes' walk from the main campus. Norton Wolf, which has specialized laboratories and workshops, and an 80,000-square-foot hangar for practice.

There is another college studying ground in central London, adapted to explore the world of art, culture and tourism business. It occupies three buildings in which are prepared:

• Multifunctional classrooms for lectures and seminars,
• Specialized laboratories, studios and workshops,

• Interactive studio with MOCAP motion capture technology.

Fanshawe College Canada's newest campus is located in South London — it opened in 2019 to provide academic facilities for students pursuing professional certification. It is not inferior to other educational territories in terms of the variety of facilities and the quality of technology: students have access to numerous classrooms and laboratories, recreation areas, cafeterias.

The regional campuses located in Clinton, Simcoe, Woodstock, and St. Thomas are small academic spaces for theoretical learning, practice, and individual preparation. No more than 600 students are studied in each of them, while the campuses have their own teaching staff, providing a high level of individual support.

The academic calendar covers almost the entire year, as course dates and duration of study vary. It has three main trimesters:

• Autumn: September-December,
• Spring: January-April,
• Summer: May-August.

Full—time classes are held mainly on weekdays - from Monday to Friday, rest is organized on weekends and holidays. Hybrid and online formats offer flexibility in participating in academic events.

The list of additional expenses for full-time students includes:

Applicants will need to fill out an online form and submit documents, pay the admission fees, after which their application will be evaluated by the admissions committee staff. The application is assessed using an internal point system, based on which it is placed in the enrollment queue.

According to statistics from recent years, 89% of graduates successfully find employment within six months of completing their studies. The percentage of employers satisfied with the skills of Fanshawe College Canada graduates reaches 93%.

To enroll in one of the Fanshawe College Canada programs, foreign applicants must provide:

• Personal documents: passport, visa or Canadian residence permit, medical insurance, financial certificates,
• Academic certificates from previous places of study: certificate of full secondary education, certificates of preparatory courses. Applicants must compare their education with the qualifications accepted in Canada,
• The results of the language test: TOEFL (79-92), PTE (53-65), Cambridge (169-185) or a recognized equivalent.

Some specialties and degrees may require additional documents: a motivational essay, letters of recommendation, professional qualifications or work experience.

Scholarships and grants are awarded to students who are particularly successful in their studies and remain active in extracurricular activities. They do not require a refund and cover part of the cost of the program for one year.
