Pre-Prep Program

  • Age — from three years old,
  • The duration of the study is four years.

Exeter School, in collaboration with The New School, has created The New School Exminster, which educates the youngest students from 3 to 7 years old.

In the learning process, game methods are used, with the help of which the child assimilates academic information more effectively, easily, and more comfortably. There are no "rigorous" lessons in the first years – instead, games are held outside and in the classroom, and a variety of materials are used to study the environment. The last two years of the Pre-Prep program are aimed at gaining basic knowledge of academic subjects – reading, writing, science, mathematics are included in the curriculum and studied daily.

Attendance at the study area is possible from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.: during this time, children will attend four lessons, participate in group games, have lunch and wait for their parents in an extended group.

Semester tuition fees are charged in the last two years of the program — until then, parents pay for the child's daily stay.

Over the course of four years, from second to sixth grade, students will study a wide range of subjects:

Teachers support all students, helping them adapt to the academic environment of the school and preparing them for the more serious atmosphere of the following years. In the learning process, teachers observe the individual strengths and weaknesses of the child, creating alternative learning methods for them.

  • Number of students: about 900,
  • Language of instruction: English,
  • Type of study: blended.

Exeter School is a private day school that offers programs for children from 3 to 18 years old.

Exeter School has its origins in the opening of Exeter Free Grammar School on 1 August 1633, which was attended only by boys at the time. With the passage of time and the change of the outside world, the school has changed, expanded and improved to provide its pupils with the best education and first-class facilities for self-development.

Students are in the caring, responsible hands of highly qualified teachers who not only teach academic subjects, but are also engaged in the extracurricular development of children. A wide range of additional courses, clubs and sections will allow students to devote time to their interests, develop strong skills and succeed after graduation.

Educational process

Exeter School uses iPads to teach elementary and middle school students. New students receive an iPad along with an introductory course when they start school, most often in September. Since September 2020, the school has been operating a "Bring Your Own Device" scheme for Sixth Form students.

The internet, which is supervised by staff and filtered for use by students, is available on the school day and during lunch in designated rooms. All students and educators should adhere to acceptable usage policies that promote the mature use of ICT facilities.

Things to know about

The school offers domestic and international live-in trips, providing accommodation, necessary equipment in case of hiking, qualified supervisors and external support.

Accommodation, meals, prices

Students are provided with hot lunches on the days of academic classes and excursions. A variety of dishes are served daily in the dining room, including vegetarian dishes and those suitable for children with special medical/dietary needs. Salads made from fresh vegetables, meat of various types and fish fingers are especially popular; Most of the products are locally sourced and undergo regular quality checks.

After visiting the learning area and talking to the principal, the child can spend a trial day in class to interact with the children who are already enrolled and spend time in the classroom.

The next step will be to submit an online application or write it on campus. Documents must be attached to the application, and the registration fee must be paid. The Admissions Committee will review the submitted application and, if successful, make an official offer of a place. After that, parents need to sign a contract within three weeks and pay a deposit to book a place in the group.
