IB Diploma
- Age of students — from 16 to 18 years,
- The studying period is two years.
The International Diploma Program is a globally recognized two—year course that completes the final stage of full-time secondary education and prepares graduates for entering the best universities on the planet. The course duration is two years: throughout this time, students take a variety of exams and tests, and final exams give them the right to possess a prestigious, highly regarded certificate of the International Diploma Program.
The curriculum includes the study of six selected disciplines from five subject groups + three key academic components that are mandatory for all. Students develop critical and analytical thinking skills, will actively work both independently and in groups, will learn how to create and present personal projects and research — all this will prove to be very valuable at any prestigious university.
The disciplines to choose from are included in the following groups:
- Main language: English, Foreign language: Spanish, French, German, Chinese (Mandarin),
- Social sciences, humanities: psychology, economics, geography, philosophy, history, business management, global politics,
- Natural sciences: physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, ecological systems and societies, exercise and health science,
- Mathematics: analysis and approaches, applications and interpretations,
- Art: theater, fine arts, music, cinematography.
Additionally, students attend classes in three compulsory disciplines, which allow them to test and hone their knowledge in practice.:
- CAS (Creativity, Action, Service) — volunteer and charitable, creative and sports activities,
- Writing an extended essay is the creation of an in—depth study on a chosen topic, writing an academic essay of at least 4,000 words.,
- General Theory of Knowledge (TOK) — students will learn to understand and explore the world in various ways, master different types of knowledge, and be able to successfully apply these skills in practice.
Upon successful completion of the program, students receive an International Diploma Program that admits them to universities around the world.
A-level
- Age of students — from 16 to 18 years,
- The studying period is two years.
The two—year program for high school students is the true gold standard of British education. This is the main document that most British universities require for admission: an A-Level certificate with sufficiently high scores exempts you from taking additional entrance exams and tests.
The course lasts for two years: during the course, students take written exams, test papers and write a research (course) project. The difference between the program lies in the small number of subjects studied, in its academic depth and complexity, and in its thoroughness. The student chooses all the subjects for study himself: usually these are the same scientific fields that are planned to be studied at the chosen university. Of course, consultants, teachers, and personal mentors can help you create an optimal curriculum: as a rule, it includes four to five disciplines in the first year and only three or four of the previously selected ones in the second year.
You can choose direction from the following list:
- Mathematics,
- Higher Mathematics,
- Biology,
- Chemistry,
- Physics,
- Art,
- Business research,
- Economy,
- Psychology,
- English language.
Upon completing the program, students receive qualifications that allow them to enter many colleges and universities both in the UK and abroad.

Educational process
Oxford Academy offers a variety of services and resources to help students with a variety of challenges. For example, a university preparation program is organized with the help of personal mentors for each student: consultants monitor the academic and personal success of the student, guide him, advise him in the process of selecting a suitable university, faculty, specialty, and also help in writing a resume.
If a student feels unsure of their knowledge, subject teachers will gladly provide them with additional lessons after the main classes. Academic support, counseling, revision of the material covered, analysis of the study order and habits, advice on passing the upcoming exams and many other issues are solved with the help of experienced teachers.
Preparation for university is fundamental, which is why the institution implements a general counseling program – group and individual classes to ensure that students are ready for university and career by the time they graduate.
Faculties and colleges
Oxford Academy has two Senior Academic Departments: one for those studying the IB Diploma and one for those who would like to pursue an A-Level qualification.
Things to know about
All education at the academy is conducted in English, with the exception of IB Diploma Language A courses, where teaching is organized in the language that is being studied.
The learning process promotes general fluency in English, as students not only speak it in the classroom but also use it during social activities. Immersing themselves in the language and the culture that comes with it will help them get higher scores on English language exams such as IELTS or TOEFL.
Accommodation, meals, prices
Students are offered comfortable double rooms in the Oxford Academy residences located on campus. Each tenant is provided with single beds with storage compartments, a wardrobe, and a workplace. The rooms are based on a combination of students who match each other by age and gender, while most often representatives of different nationalities will live in the same room.
Students have the opportunity to live throughout the year, excluding vacations, and in the format of five weekdays or not to use housing services at all. The close-knit student community living in the residences is strengthened by group activities and friendly competitions organized by staff living in the residential building. There are quiet classrooms, a student kitchen and a living room next to the buildings, and a special nurse practitioner is on duty on weekdays.
There is a dining hall on the territory of the academy, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Depending on which accommodation format the student chooses, they will be offered two or three meals a day during the days they stay on campus. Qualified chefs prepare meals using fresh local products, and provide students with a choice of standard, vegan, vegetarian, halal, and gluten-free menus.
