Young Professionals: AI & Computer Science

  • Age of students - from 13 to 17 years,

This summer program offers students to immerse themselves in the study of computer science and modern technologies in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and programming. Students are waited for 25 academic hours of lessons per week, where they will focus on portfolio building, individual and group work (in a team of 12 students). Teachers will help students master a deeper understanding of coding and using AI for their own purposes, provide excellent conditions for improving the level of English.

Through immersion in the language environment, students improve their speaking skills, which are used not only in learning, but also in extracurricular life - on three weekly excursions: two for the whole day, one for half a day. During the trips, students will see the main attractions of Oxford, Cambridge and London, visit an amusement park.

During their stay in the camp, students live in a residence and receive a balanced meal, are provided with everything they need: from transfers, round-the-clock support for staff to an adaptive menu, additional academic attention.

Young Professionals: Architecture and The Built Environment

The summer program is aimed at an in-depth study of the basics of architecture and urban planning, as well as environmental design concepts. The schedule of students includes seminars with highly qualified industry professionals - 25 academic hours per week, during which they will be able to expand their horizons, learn a lot of new things and create their own portfolio of architectural works. The main element of the educational process will be practice: a visual demonstration of already implemented projects, exercises to work out perspectives and other skills.

In the classroom, students will not only immerse themselves in the architectural field, but will also be able to effectively improve their level of English proficiency. Regular communication with teachers and classmates is complemented by three weekly excursions to the sights of Oxford, London and Cambridge, as well as many campus events.

The course provides in-residence accommodation, balanced meals and comprehensive support for the staff from the moment of arrival to the moment of departure home.

Young Professionals: Business and Marketing

A two-week summer course with a focus on business and marketing, combines academic rigor, working on real-world projects, and a variety of entertainment. The apprentices' weekly schedule includes 25 academic hours where they will gain an understanding of starting and running a business, develop key entrepreneurial skills, and build a personal portfolio. Thanks to the work in groups (of 12 students), students will not only be able to implement their ideas, but also effectively improve their level of English proficiency.

Conversational skills are developed through immersion in the language environment, including during field trips and campus activities. Students can expect two full-day and one half-day trips, during which they will be able to see the main attractions of London, Oxford and Cambridge, visit restaurants, cafes and an amusement park.

During their studies, students live in a comfortable residence and receive three meals a day, are under the strict control of staff who ensure the safety and academic progress of each student.

Young Professionals: Engineering

The summer program is aimed at students interested in studying engineering: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and civil engineering. The curriculum will help students not only deepen their knowledge in the chosen profile, but also improve their level of English proficiency through regular communication with teachers, classmates and participation in extracurricular activities. In the classroom, teachers use modern methods to attract students and help them create a personal portfolio of works. Hands-on demonstrations of projects that have already been implemented and team, individual work on current ideas will allow students to develop communication skills, critical thinking, and a basic understanding of engineering.

In their free time, students will have three excursions a week, during which they will visit Oxford, Cambridge and London, many cafes and an amusement park. On campus, master classes, seminars and themed parties are organized for them every day so that the summer holidays bring only positive emotions.

The course provides accommodation in a residence on campus, three meals a day and individual attention of the academic and administrative staff to each student.

Facilities and equipment at D'Overbroeck's Summer Camp

D'Overbroeck's School's summer campus is located in the centre of Oxford and is a stunning combination of modern and traditional architecture. On the educational territory there are several residences, academic classrooms and specialized scientific laboratories, recreation areas, a dining hall and much more. Classrooms are well-equipped for interactive learning, and dedicated quiet areas are created for individual and group work. The extensive library serves as a special place for research and self-study, offering access to electronic resources.

The school boasts a specialized arts center, music and recording studios, access to the sports infrastructure of the University of Oxford.

It takes about 45 minutes to get to Gatwick Airport and about an hour and a half to Heathrow.

Admission dates and extra charges

Summer courses are held for two weeks, usually in July (but the exact dates will be specified for you by the manager). Students follow a clear schedule, which includes hours of getting up and going to bed, visiting the dining room, classes and off-site, campus events. On different days, the schedule may vary, offering academic classes in the morning or afternoon, excursions in the mornings or evenings.

The tuition fee already includes all the costs necessary for students from the moment they arrive at the summer center until the moment they leave it: students are provided with a group transfer from and to the airport, accommodation and meals, academic resources and materials, a full leisure program and much more. Additionally, you can pay for a personal transfer, budget for personal expenses during trips.

Enrolment process

The center's staff accompany all candidates from application to arrival on campus. Applicants will have to fill out a detailed questionnaire and provide documents, then pass an entrance language test and an interview. Candidates will receive an invitation to obtain a visa and will be able to come to the UK to study.
