Java Coding: building mods using Minecraft

On the course, the students will be able to learn the basics of the Java programming language using the Minecraft source code - the course participants will use various tools for this purpose, for example, IntelliJ. All this will allow teenagers to get basic knowledge of the Java language in an easy and affordable format.

Java Coding: custom blocks and maps in Minecraft

Here, students will find Java coding, writing codes, creating a game design, creating mods and maps in Minecraft. Young programmers will also use the IntelliJ tool to develop and create a personalized style.

Creating games and AI with JavaScript

• Age: 10-12 years old

In the course, students will work with JavaScript, which was used to create 95% of sites worldwide. Teenagers will learn the basics of coding, learn how to create game mechanics, “assemble” a game from beginning to end. Students will be able to add voice, sound and their images to the game. Also, the HTML5 program is used for work.

Coding and Engineering 101

The course combines robotics, coding and development. The training begins with the hardware, then the study of programming using the interactive micro: bit handheld computer. This tool and JavaScript will allow students to learn how to detect movements, send messages, encode games and applications.

YouTube broadcast of games and videos

In the course, students and teenagers will learn how to create content for the most popular video platform in the world - YouTube. Here you can conduct an online broadcast of games and create additional effects (audio or visualization) for video using the Adobe After Effects application. By the end of the training, the guys will have a ready-made online brand on hand. Tools used: Adobe Premiere, video equipment and YouTube. The curriculum is available for two age categories: 10-12 years old and 13-17 years old.

Video production: launch your own YouTube channel

• Age: 10-12 years old / 13-17 years old
• Duration: from 1 week.

On the course, students will be able to create their online brand and launch a channel: video blog, short films or study guides. For filming, students will be provided with video equipment (professional DSLR cameras), and the resulting frames can be edited using the Adobe Premiere program. Since the amount of equipment is limited, students will have to interact in a team. The curriculum is available for two age categories: 10-12 years old and 13-17 years old.

3D printing and modeling with Take-Home printer

• Age: 10-12 years old

On the course, students will have the opportunity to go through the 3D printing process from and to, starting from the development of 3D model design (Autodesk Maya is used for this) to the finished object. For practical experience, each student will work with a Monoprice MP Select Mini 3D V2 printer.

Design and development of games 101

• Age: 13-17 years old
• Duration: from 1 week.

The course provides an opportunity to work in the field of professional video game design: students will work with such popular tools as Autodesk Maya (creating 3D objects), Unreal Engine 4 (level design and scripting). In the final of the program, adolescents will have their own developed level, which they can include in the development portfolio.

Level Design and Cinematography with Unreal Engine 4

On the course, students will receive basic skills in game development. Using the Unreal Engine 4 program, teenagers will be able to create their own levels and geometric landscape of the game. The creation and editing of cinematic effects is carried out using the Sequencer program - the videos are dynamic with detailed characters, sound and animation.

Gameplay Mechanics with Unreal Engine 4

The course will allow students to acquire the necessary skills in the field of game design: using the Blueprints tool and visual programming language, game mechanics are formed. Students will learn how to create FPS games, races and more.

VR design with Unity and Oculus Go

On the course, students will gain VR design skills and learn how to work with the Unity program and the Oculus Go virtual reality system. With these tools, students can not only create their own world, but also see and hear themselves in it! Students can take the project created in the lessons with them in order to continue to independently improve their skills in the field of interactive virtual worlds.

Voice applications for Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant

This educational program will allow students to create their voice applications for sites such as Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. Playing a voice game or broadcasting music from a room - all this can be done from the Voiceflow program.

The course is based on the study of a programming language such as C ++, knowledge of which opens up wide possibilities in the field of coding and development. For work, students will use applications covering spheres of influence from system software design to game development. Auxiliary tool is Microsoft Visual Studio.

Creating arcade games with its help, students will be able to implement all the basic components of game mechanics there: keyboard or mouse control, basic artificial intelligence, collision search for game elements and more. Participants will create 3D models themselves using the Autodesk Maya application. For work, students will work with Monoprice Select Mini V2 printers and will be able to go through the entire process of printing a 3D object from beginning to end.
