The San Mateo Library supports students' academic and professional learning needs by providing advice, material and technical resources. The printed collection contains about 71,000 volumes, 125 subscriptions to periodicals, 17,000 online periodicals available through electronic databases. Over 60 online resources provide access to thousands of magazines and newspapers. It houses college archives, including the History of Photography Project (PHILP), which helps preserve and make available the print and visual history of CSM and other colleges in San Mateo County.
San Mateo Bookstore was established in 1963 as part of SMCCD Bookstores, a non-profit, San Mateo County Community College support service to help and serve the educational activities of San Mateo College and its neighbors. A limited number of one-time and renewable scholarships are available to incoming international students. The amount of the scholarship is from $ 250 to $ 3000.
