Chelyabinsk State University (ChelSU) is a classical higher educational institution of modern standards. This institution was the first university in the territory of the Southern Urals. Opened in October 1976, it had two faculties. In the following year, ChelSU became the founder of an archaeological station in Chelyabinsk, and in the next forty years - one of the best universities in the country.
