South Ural State Medical University (SUSMU) is a higher educational institution operating under the leadership of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. The University was established in July 1994 as Chelyabinsk State Medical Institute. For all the time of its existence, the institution changed several names, postponed the reorganization, eventually receiving the title of SUSMU.
The university has about 3,000 full-time and part-time students. Education takes place at the faculties in the following areas:
