Alicante is a coastal city and municipality in the Valencian Community of Spain, set on the Mediterranean shore of the Alicante province within the Alacantí comarca. Founded in 324 BC, it carries a long history shaped by the cultures that have passed along this stretch of the Spanish coast. The municipality today is made up of 12 entities of population spread across the city and its surroundings.

Learning Spanish in Alicante
Alicante is a popular destination for learning Spanish, and students often combine their studies with the official exams managed by the Instituto Cervantes. The two main qualifications are the DELE and the SIELE.
