The Canadian authorities need more international students. Today, the bulk of students from other countries are residents of India. The Canadian ministry strongly recommends that local universities review their curricula and who they are aimed at - in general, the country's authorities expect that universities and colleges will do everything in their power to attract new foreigners who dream of a student visa.
However, today the process of admitting students from different countries is quite complicated: delayed visa processing, a poorly functioning selection system and other nuances prevent applicants from other countries from quickly and easily entering Canadian universities. Representatives of universities and colleges say this in opposition to the requests of the ministry. Inviting students from all over the world to Canada without a well-built visa system is reckless.
So far, the government has only managed to achieve that the number of applications from India began to decrease, but the new flows of applicants from other countries have not yet expanded.
