During the British Heritage Tour, students visit many UK attractions in 2 weeks, including major cities such as London, York, Edinburgh and Manchester, as well as Lake District, Stratford-upon-Avon and Stonehenge.
A two-week sightseeing tour is complemented by 30 hours of English, which include a basic course, lessons on the culture and history of the UK, a group project, interactive lectures.
The English course is built on a communicative method of learning English and includes grammar-appropriate exercises for the student level, and vocabulary development. In the classroom, students hone literacy, speaking skills and everyday communication.
Interactive lectures are specially designed in such a way as to help students in their work on a group project, provide material for discussion in groups, and maintain constant student interaction.
The interactive lectures of the British Heritage tour are devoted to the history of York and Edinburgh, will introduce students to poets and famous writers of the Lake District.
Throughout the program, students work in small groups on a project, identifying and exploring the cultural traditions of the UK. The goal of the project is to teach students to work together on practical tasks and use English. Groups are provided with step-by-step instructions that they should follow to complete the project. At the end of the program, students demonstrate their work at the presentation evening.
During the two-week program, students stay in single or double rooms, as well as rooms for groups (girls and boys are accommodated separately):
