The Academy of Art Architecture and Design in Prague (Vysoká Škola Uměleckoprůmyslová v Praze, AAAD) was founded by Franz Joseph in 1885 in the Czech Republic. The first students were taught by the most famous artists of the country. A feature of AAAD is a bias in the practical part, work in special studios under the strict guidance of teachers. Quite a few students are recruited every year with a large number of applicants, since the university puts a priority for itself so that its students are the best of the best.
