AAAD has two types of master's programs: practical and theoretical. The practical program includes the specialties “Architecture”, “Visual Communication and Graphics”, “Visual Arts” and “Design”.

The Academy of Art Architecture and Design in Prague (Vysoká Škola Uměleckoprůmyslová v Praze, AAAD) was founded by Franz Joseph in 1885 in the Czech Republic. The first students were taught by the most famous artists of the country. A feature of AAAD is a bias in the practical part, work in special studios under the strict guidance of teachers. Quite a few students are recruited every year with a large number of applicants, since the university puts a priority for itself so that its students are the best of the best. The aim of the educational institution is to give students a comprehensive education in the field of architecture, design, visual communication, free and applied arts.

The university provides its students with a hostel Mikoláše Alše located in the center of Prague. The residence offers 70 beds in 35 apartment-type double rooms from September 15 to June 30.
