In an official statement, company representatives explained the decision by the difficult situation in the student housing market: according to them, in recent years the business had been experiencing serious financial difficulties related to a downturn in this segment.
Britannia Student Services helped foreign students find various accommodation options in London: from student residences to host families and shared apartment rentals, and managed the Britannia Study Hotel accommodation facility in Brighton. For many years, Britannia collaborated with educational agencies, language schools, and English language program providers, helping foreign students arrange accommodation during their studies in the UK. The company held the status of a registered accommodation agency and was a corporate member of English UK.
The news of Britannia Student Services' closure became yet another reminder of how serious the changes taking place today in the international education and student accommodation market are.
