In 1973, Wilfrid Laurier University was founded, abbreviated WLU. Wilfrid Laurier University is one of the most famous universities in Canada with a central building located in Waterloo.

Recipients of major external awards may be eligible for additional support, including the Dean’s Graduate Scholarship valued at over $10,000 in total. Awards considered for the top-up include the Ontario Graduate Scholarship, the Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology, the Canada Graduate Research Scholarship — Master’s, and the Canada Graduate Research Scholarship — Doctoral. Students in professional programs may have access to the Graduate Incentive Scholarship with a top-up of $1,000.
Students in graduate programs at Martin Luther University College are not eligible for internal funding administered by the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.
