What food is allowed on the plane?

What food is allowed on the plane?

Fans of traveling by air are aware of the numerous restrictions associated with moving this way. It is considered to be the safest, fastest, most reliable and very convenient over long distances. In general, there are many advantages - almost everything, except for small luggage and difficulties with food on board the aircraft.

It often happens that the trip from home or hotel to the airport in time requires large costs. If you add to this the time for registration events and boarding the plane, passengers get to the coveted seat with an empty stomach and a rumbling stomach. In the best case, the company will provide food - but now this is done only if the flight takes more than 6 hours - otherwise only a variety of drinks are included in the standard package. In this regard, there is a need for an additional snack, which the passenger will have to take with him.

Another option is to cope in advance whether there is a possibility of ordering additional meals and what menu is offered in this case. This is an excellent option, pre-cutting off possible conflicts during landing!

What can I take with me?

The list of unambiguously permitted by law includes:

  • Cookie
  • Chocolate bars and bars with any filling
  • Nuts
  • Bread
  • Fruit.

A sandwich with sausage, cheese or ham is not allowed: many such fillings have a strong aroma or pungent smell, and airline employees, taking care of the comfort of other passengers, insist that such sandwiches should either be chewed in the nearest cafe or handed over for subsequent disposal.

Regulars of air transportation have repeatedly observed similar scenes with neighbors on the plane or even faced similar restrictions themselves. But a couple of bags of nuts, a package of cookies or a few snickers will not cause the staff of the air hub the slightest question. And this set will allow you to hold out until the end of the flight. It will not be superfluous to set of snacks during long flights, because even on the best flights in the economy (and business, in some cases) meals are provided only once.

And if you have twelve hours to fly? The stock pocket does not pull (especially since they can really be squeezed into pockets so as not to overload hand luggage).

What about drinking?

In hand luggage it is allowed to put packs or bottles, whose volume does not exceed one hundred milliliters. Arguing and appealing to conscience and common sense is useless: at best, you will have to drink everything under the control of the interrogating frame, at worst - throw it away.

However, drinking on airplanes while they give without restrictions - do not hesitate to ask for additional portions if necessary.

Where do confiscated products go?

You probably witnessed the inspection and saw the impressive size of garbage cans, where they throw bottles, food and other seized products and things. It's a shame – especially when the products were purchased on the territory of the airfield, because they are damn expensive.

We remind you once again: you should not worry about drinking - the water is free, and it is better to buy soda in duty-free, there is cheaper than in the cabin of the aircraft.

Baby food and chronicle products

In the ruthless set of strict restrictions, there are exceptional situations and provisions. We are talking about nutrition for young children, including milk and formulas, as well as puree of fruit. Then we can say about the owners of medical records with diagnoses confirmed by fresh certificates.

More: purchased in duty free and packed in a branded package is allowed to carry in hand luggage without any restrictions and prohibitions.
