Description of Western University (WU)

The University of Western Ontario or Western University (UWO) is a non-profit public public institution of higher learning founded on March 3, 1878 in the city of London (Canada) by Bishop Isaac Hellmuth of the Anglican Diocese of Huron. The UWO received its first students in 1881 with four faculties: Arts, Theology, Law and Medicine. Over the years of its existence, the university has become a top educational institution in Canada, currently occupying 8th place in the country and 198th position among the world's best institutions of higher education.

The University of Western Ontario has over 28,000 students. This is a major educational institution. All applicants are allowed to enter the UWO, without taking into account religious and political beliefs, as well as gender. The selection committee takes into account previous academic results and exam results. For foreign applicants, you must pass a test of knowledge of English as a foreign language (TOEFL certificate - the minimum acceptable score of 86), or the IELTS exam - the minimum acceptable score - 6 out of 9). All documents included in the application package must be accompanied by a notarized translation into English.
