Requirements for applicants for bachelor's degree:

  • The applicant must match the level of English proficiency or apply for conditional admission, as well as admission to the Intensive English Program (IEP). Requirements: IELTS – 6.5, TOEFL – 79.
  • Direct admission to some colleges requires SAT or ACT results, which must be sent to WVU directly from the relevant testing services. For all other specialties, international students are recommended, but not required, to take sat or ACT results. The results of the SAT/ACT are useful for determining eligibility for a scholarship.
  • WVU welcomes applications from students with IGCSE and A-Level certificates from Cambridge International for consideration upon admission. The university requires a minimum of five exams in subjects, of which two must be in English and mathematics. The average score must be at least 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale). A passing score in an English language subject will be considered proof of a sufficient level of English proficiency.
