Foreign students are guaranteed the provision of housing. There are several options for accommodation. Students can live in residences on campuses, in apartments, private apartments, host families. There are options for accommodation in self-service, conditions of paid service (meals, room cleaning).
There are more than 200 communities at York University. All of them are organized by the Students' Union. Clubs of interest are available to students of all courses and programs. Particular attention is attracted to sports opportunities of the university. University of York is the leader in Britain by the number of sections per student.
