Summer English Course

A seasonal program organized on the campus of one of the country's leading universities offers foreign students n intensive curriculum, flexible duration options and several start dates, an exciting educational experience and effective improvement of language skills.
In just a few weeks at the language center, students will be able to significantly improve their overall English proficiency: daily classes in small groups focused on developing reading, speaking, writing and listening skills are supported by regular conversational practice and vocabulary expansion through communication with native speakers.
In addition to interactive thematic lessons, students can expect seven excursions to the sights of London, Guildford, Brighton: during the trips they can get acquainted with iconic places in the cities, try national cuisine and immerse themselves in the history of the region. Outside of excursions, student leisure involves a variety of entertainment on campus: from discos and movie nights, interactive games and master classes to sports training, creative competitions.

University of Surrey English School is a language school located on the campus of one of the country's leading universities, offering seasonal English language programs for students aged 11-17 years old.
Every year, dozens of foreign students enroll in a short-term program with many advantages: from intensive improvement of general language skills and individual abilities to bright emotions from excursions and campus events. A multinational student community is supported by qualified native English teachers who provide comprehensive support and individual attention to the abilities of each pupil.
The program provides all the necessary conditions for language development and a comfortable stay in a new country for students. On the territory of University of Surrey, students have access to infrastructure for sports and creative hobbies, accommodation and studies. Several days a week they will spend outside the campus, where famous attractions, natural and architectural beauties of the region await them.
Educational process
Classes are held in the first half of the day — primarily in the morning hours. Instruction is structured in small groups: teachers give each student individual attention, account for different paces of learning, and work to improve language proficiency regardless of prior knowledge.
Upon arriving on campus, all students take a test to determine their English level and are placed in groups of the appropriate level.
The SurreyLearn educational platform is used as a learning environment for independent study.
After classes, the afternoon and evening are filled with an extracurricular programme: excursions, workshops, and campus events that provide full language immersion in everyday life.

Accommodation, meals, prices
University of Surrey Residence offers students a summer program with several types of rooms: single and double enhanced comfort rooms with bathrooms, standard twin, triple, and quadruple rooms with access to shared showers and toilets. Accommodation is provided on a full board basis, which includes daily balanced meals: two English breakfasts, lunch and dinner are served in the large campus dining hall at scheduled times. On excursion days, students receive a prepaid meal card or a packed lunch.
Activities University of Surrey Summer Camp
A packed schedule for the summer course offers students to immerse themselves in exploring the sights, culture and customs of the region, have fun and get to know each other better — every week students can expect almost daily campus events and several excursions. During their stay at the language center, students will be offered:
- A walking tour of London with a visit to Parliament building, Westminster Abbey, Whitehall, Big Ben and Downing Street,
- A trip to South Kensington, visiting the Natural History Museum,
- The National Gallery in London, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly, Covent Garden,
- A cruise on the Thames, a walking tour of the Southbank area,
- A walking tour of Brighton with a visit to the historic Lanes district, Brighton Pier, the Royal Pavilion, the residence of King George IV,
- Guildford: day trips with visits to Guildford Castle, shops on High Street, Lewis Carroll's residence, Guildford Museum.
On days when no excursions are planned, students gather together to participate in movie nights, discos, cooking classes, sports training and other collective events on campus.

Facilities and equipment at University of Surrey Summer Camp
The University of Surrey's teaching grounds, located in the center of Guildford, is adjacent to many public places and public transport stops. By train departing from the railway station a couple of minutes walk from campus, you can quickly reach London and its attractions. Near the university is an excellent sports park Surrey, where students can try their hand at various types of pair and team sports.
The campus itself offers students modern infrastructure for study, living and leisure: spacious classrooms with interactive equipment, recreation areas, a dining room and cafeteria, studios for thematic events and workshops, open spaces for walks and much more.
Admission dates and extra charges
The program runs from mid-June to mid-August, having several start dates and a flexible duration — from one to four weeks. Students follow an intensive schedule that includes morning English classes, daytime and evening entertainment or excursions.
The course cost covers accommodation and meals, the academic plan and necessary educational materials, all campus events and seven excursions. Additionally, administrative deposits and fees, medical insurance, flights and personal expenses must be paid separately.
Enrolment process
The admissions committee expects applicants to submit the required documents and a completed registration form, after which it provides all necessary information about enrollment and conducts an online test to assess their current language level. Upon arrival on campus, students are assigned to groups and begin studies.
