The University of Suffolk offers several accommodation options:

  • Athena Hall is a hostel on the Ipswich campus. Despite the fact that the building was built on land owned by the university, it is privately owned. Athena Hall was built in accordance with accreditation standards, taking into account the recommendations of the location manager of the University of Suffolk. The hotel is 300 meters from the Ipswich Waterfront, next to the James Hehir Building. Admission dates and extra charges

International students admitted to courses that require internships (such as nurses, paramedics or radiologists) pay annually addition fee.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

To be admitted to the undergraduate degree, candidates must have one of the following qualifications:

  • International Baccalaureate - 28 points or higher;
  • One year undergraduate program.

For admission to graduate school, applicants must provide:

  • Bachelor's degree equivalent to that obtained from the UK or a recognized university;
  • Applications for applicants without a bachelor's degree are considered on an individual basis, depending on their experience and abilities.

Requirements for English proficiency:

  • IELTS (Academic or UKVI) - 6.0 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 for each component, unless otherwise stated on the specific course page.
  • Cambridge Assessment English - B2 First, minimum overall score of 169, 162 or more in each component, or C1 Advanced in Advanced English.
  • TOEFL IBT - 78 points, minimum 12 - reading, 11 - listening, 17 - speaking, 20 - writing.
  • Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic) - CEFR B2 level.
  • GCSE / IGCSE - English level C4 or higher.
