The University of New Hampshire, UNH is a flagship research university, the largest in the state of New Hampshire, and one of 9 US universities that receives land, marine and aerospace grants. In 1866, the College of Agriculture and Mechanics opened in Hanover, and in 1891, the college was moved to Durham after an American philanthropist donated his farm and other inheritance to found an agricultural college.
