The Masters of Public Health (MHA) program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center provides recent college graduates and early and middle-level health workers with an interdisciplinary education in leadership, collaboration, and analytics to prepare for leadership positions in health organizations. The program is designed for two or three years of study, depending on the preferences of the student. Graduates receive leadership, communication and management skills, knowledge of the healthcare environment, business and analytical skills.
The full-time and distance Master of Public Health (MPH) program is a master's program designed to prepare graduates for work in the field of public health. The training focuses on the areas of prevention, social justice, the basis of scientific medical knowledge and interdependence with other areas. Public health is facing unprecedented social and global challenges, including climate change, globalization, the growth of chronic and infectious diseases, and new health systems.
The MS Emergency Preparedness Training Program can be mastered in two academic years. Students enrolling in the MS master's program choose between practice and study course.

Double degree programs
The University of Nebraska Medical Center offers a full-time dual degree program in collaboration with the College of Related Health Professions, the College of Pharmacy, the University of Nebraska at Omaha, the School of Social Work, the College of Business and the Lincoln College of Law and the College of Agricultural Science and Natural Resources.
Dual degree programs provide students with a unique opportunity to integrate medical and related programs, information technology, or training in the social sciences with a degree in public health. Club, play sports, participation in special events and fitness classes are available to all students of UNMC, UNO and the Nebraska School of Medicine.
