Primary School

Townshend Primary combines kindergarten and all three stages of early development: Lower, Middle, and Upper Primary. Small classes and individual attention are the main secrets of the success of project—based learning, during which children daily test their knowledge in practice, learn to make decisions, and assess the situation. The main goal is the comprehensive development of the child, that is, not only through academic success of the basic curriculum, but also through the knowledge of the beautiful: fine arts, music, drama. The curriculum strives to cover all the needs of each student: intellectual, physical, social, emotional.
The excellent equipment of the school helps in learning: cozy and comfortable classrooms, a library, a computer lab, art and creative studios. The outdoor playground is a place for relaxation, fun, and the acquisition of new skills, maintaining physical activity in the fresh air; it is adapted for all ages, even the youngest students. A delicious and varied lunch awaits the kids every day: hot dishes, soups and salads, and all this in a cozy dining room with an impressive view of the neighboring castle.

What advice would you give to future applicants before applying to schools and why?
Understand the school’s ethos and ensure it aligns with your goals. I would further advise students to prioritise their English language studies in preparation for the entrance testing phase.
When looking at applicants, we consider not only the academic record and entrance exam performance, but also students who not only excel academically but also demonstrate character and potential for growth.
