Accommodation and food

On the territory of Townshend International School there are 2 comfortable residences for boarders (each for about 30 people) - boys and girls are housed separately, along with children there are educators and some teachers: they are responsible for keeping cleanliness, order and discipline, helping to maintain a friendly atmosphere and together with the students decide any questions. The main "commandants" of each house are a married couple assisted by a team of volunteers; also to children once a week doctors and school psychologists come, you can take an individual consultation with the right teacher.

Pupils are accommodated for 2-3 people in cozy rooms with bathrooms and all necessary amenities (appliances, furniture). In common use of all boarders there are living rooms for rest, kitchens, playrooms with TV and board games. At certain hours, students are given access to a fast WiFi. The school accepts applications throughout the year: if there are vacancies on the chosen course, the student can be enrolled at almost any time.

The basic requirement for applicants concerns the level of the English language, since it is English that is accepted here as the official language of instruction. To enroll, you must provide an IELTS certificate from 4.0, and the older the student, the higher the required parameter:

  • 7-9 grades = 4.0
  • 10 class = 4.5
  • 11th grade = from 5.0
  • 12th grade = 5.5
  • 13 class = from 6.0.

The decision on admission is made by the selection committee in conjunction with the director: it is not superfluous to prepare a report card with grades from the previous school, all kinds of certificates, awards, medals and letters of appreciation, recommendations and characteristics from teachers / class teacher / director.
