Tokyo Summer School is a preparatory center for high school students, offering subject courses to gain in-depth knowledge and skills. The programs are aimed at students of any nationality from 15 to 18 years old.

The studying will take place on the campus of the University of Tokyo, which is considered one of the leading universities in the world in terms of the level of research, the quality of teaching and the number of nationalities among the students. During the summer months, representatives from different countries gather on the study grounds to immerse themselves in the exploration of career opportunities in their chosen field.

Students will have a two-week curriculum full not only of classes in their chosen specialty, but also of a variety of excursions and campus events. Comprehensive support from teachers both in the classroom and in an individual format will help each of the pupils to achieve their goal, improve their level of English proficiency, and adapt to the English-speaking environment at the university level.

The curriculum of each course contains specific material to support international students who do not have a sufficiently high level of English proficiency. Teachers use ESL, CLIL methods to support students in the effective development of their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. In addition to general language classes in the classroom, students are provided with individual lessons with teachers, guaranteeing the timely elimination of difficulties in learning English.

Pupils of summer courses are accommodated in cozy residential complexes, which are booked a few weeks before the start of studying. The accommodation is located next to the educational building, where classes and events will be conducted.

A variety of breakfasts and dinners are served daily in the center's dining room, which are already included in the price of the program.

The schedule includes daily entertainment and cultural activities: from themed discos, karaoke nights, tea ceremonies on campus to excursions to famous places in Tokyo. Calligraphy and origami workshops are available outside the center. Also students can explore the bustling streets of Shibuya, Meiji Temple, Senso-ji Temple, the Imperial Palace, Ueno Parkland, and more to immerse themselves in Japanese culture, history, and customs. Students will be able to explore the region on their own thanks to the good transport infrastructure.

The educational process ends with a large-scale event - a graduation ceremony and a party, including an award ceremony and a festive dinner.

Summer courses are held on the campus of the University of Tokyo, which offers modern classrooms, spacious recreation areas, a green area for walking, and modern infrastructure for sports, creativity, and scientific research.

Summer programs usually are conducted in July, for two weeks. A balanced schedule includes academic classes in the morning and evening, daily campus activities, or field trips.

Students can choose the most comfortable format of study: with or without accommodation. Both options include services such as:

If you choose a course with accommodation, 13 nights in the residence will be included in the price.

In addition, you will have to pay the registration fee and deposit, personal expenses.

Applicants fill out an online form and provide the required documents, pay the registration fee. The admissions committee gets acquainted with the candidates for the interview, checks their level of English proficiency and provides all the necessary documents for obtaining a visa. To book a place on the course, students pay a deposit, after which they arrive at the campus and begin their studies.

During studying, students receive in-depth professional knowledge and skills, understanding of career opportunities in the chosen specialization. At the graduation ceremony, each of them is awarded a certificate confirming the attendance of a specialized program - this is a good addition to their personal portfolio.

For admission, foreign applicants will need a passport, health insurance, visa or residence permit. Courses do not have strict academic requirements, however, after registration, students must provide documents about their education.

Students can participate in an essay competition, the winnings in which will fully or partially cover the tuition fee.
