The Northwest School is the only boarding house in Seattle where students (including foreign students) are provided with accommodation and meals in their own residences. It is located in the heart of the city, in a beautiful historic building on Capitol Hill. The total number of students today reaches 500 people (about 1/5 - foreign students). Entrants to the school are selected on the basis of competitive selection, and quite strict: the previous academic performance, the results of examinations and introductory tests, the quality of the essay and introductory testing-interviews, personal abilities, talents, character and qualities of the student, leadership abilities are taken into account.

Requirements for the level of English for applicants are as follows:
